Probably one of the best and top of the line memory cards you can currently buy. Super reliable, durable, and fast. Have not had any lag, glitches, or problems in the few months I’ve been using. Transfers, downloads, and uploads at pretty insane speeds. Can handle high quality videos and long formats. Cannot go wrong with SONY tough.

Purchased 128 GB V90 for A7R5 Camera. SF-G series TOUGH specification UHS-II SD memory cards, the tough and fast SD card, 18 times stronger than standard SD card with an ultra rugged design that is bend-proof, drop-proof, waterproof, and dustproof, and up to "300MB/sec." read, "299MB/sec". I wanted to have the fastest read/write feature possible. Shooting in 60MP mode all the time. Plenty of room for lots of shooting. Purchase a second card for a back up. Recommend to all. Buy it.

Had corrupt files on my Leica M11p. The card would format in camera but failed secure erase on the internal slot of my M2 MacBook Pro. Contacted Sony support via chat and then had customer service call. After a total of ~45 minutes they insisted on having me format it in camera again as part of their “troubleshooting”. I explained that would no be reassuring but they insisted. I will chalk it up to a lesson learned and buy a Delkin Black to replace the Sony card.

Terrific for my new Sony - Alpha a7 III Mirrorless [Video] Camera with FE 28-70 mm F3.5-5.6 OSS Lens - Black. Highly recommend. The tricky part buying a DSLR is knowing all the accessories you ALSO need: (1) SD card (2) USB to SD Card Reader (3) camera case (4) UV filter for lens protection. Those hundreds of pics from vacation and field trips need to be sorted and parsed on my laptop. This is the choice. Thanks to the associate who helped gather all this for my trip.
I bought two of these card recently. I have been using the 256GB cards for about the last 3-4 years, and they have been great. I tested these cards as soon as I get this by filling up the cards completely, and then read back from it. Write speed were 165-170MB/s for the most part, which is higher than the rated speed, and read speed was a constant 262MB/s.More expensive than the other 512GB V60 cards, but the build is amazing and I can rely on them. Of course, I use them in backup mode. Will buy two more soon and complete the second set.
Have always used fragile Sandisk and those type of cards for over 20 years only to have them literally come apart or become corrupt. I guess I can’t really complain being how reasonably priced (cheap) they were (are). After using these Sony Tough cards, I feel my media is definitely more secure in this housing. While definitely more expensive, the cost is worth it. Wouldn’t have it any other way with my FX30.
I have two of these tough grade SD cards (1 M and the faster G). My highlights for the Tough M:1. Very durable. the plastic is molded to the chip inside.2. Much better write speeds vs other V60 cards at this price point. (good for burst shooting) . But not as fast as the G card (its double the price) which it buffers about 50% faster. But plenty fast for my needs. If you plan to shoot ONLY sports/birds, get a V90 card or the G version, but as per time of writing, biggest card is only 256gb.3. I bought the 512 gb version as this gives me the need to shoot 4000+ raw 61 mb photos (enough for a long vacation) or have the luxury to shoot some long videos.
I realize the SONY fans will not be so happy with my observation regarding this card but I feel like I must pass it on so other folks can make informed decisions.I purchased this card for a Nikon Z7 II. I can honestly say the card reads and writes without any issues I have been able to discern and has been fine in this regard. Recently, I tried removing the card from the memory slot in the camera and encountered some stiff resistance so I hesitated - thinking it may have gotten crooked in the slot or something. So, I pushed the card back down into the slot and it seated back into the slot as expected. I tried to cycle the card out of the slot again but ran into the same very firm resistance. So, I pushed the card back down into the slot and it seated back into the slot as expected. I tried to cycle the card out of the slot again but ran into the same very firm resistance. This time I kept pulling (much harder) and the SONY 'tough' card reluctantly came out.For reference, I put a Delkin card in the slot and it cycles in and out with minimal resistance. I also put a SanDisk card into the slot, and like the Delkin card, it cycles in and out of the camera's memory slot with little or no resistance. I tried the SONY card again and it will not insert into the slot without significant resistance (so I stopped before it was even halfway into the slot).Because I was curious, I tried putting the card into several different card readers I own. The card gets nearly stuck in every reader I tried it in including: Delkin Devices 3.2 SD UHS-2 Reader, ProGrade Digital's SC UHS-2 Reader and a Kingston SD UHS-2 Reader.I visually inspected the card but found no visible cracks or swelling. The card seems to be slightly too wide for the memory slots it was intended to fit but I don't have a micrometer handy to make some measurments.Needless to say I am reluctant to use this card in my camera again with the concern it might become a permanent fixture.I hope something can be done by SONY to replace this card - or at least perhaps SONY might improve their quality control related to this issue. Thanks for reading.
In my experience, other SD cards tend to split and otherwise disintegrate into cameras, potentially ruining them. I was excited about the Sony SF-G Tough card's features-- unibody, strong and fast. However, reviews here and elsewhere say that the SF-G is larger than other cards and tends to get stuck in cameras. This is correct: it is bigger than, say, a Lexar SD card, and would clearly get stuck in my Lumix BS1H camera (among others). I used sand paper and a digital caliper to evenly reduce the card's size to match the Lexar's: it now works perfectly. Here are the Lexar card's measurements: 31.96mm x 23.95mm x 2.05mm. Here are the SF-G's: 32.03mm x 24.04mm x 2.16mm. I photographed the serial number before I sanded it away.
