The video shown for this hoop is not at all accurate and don’t match the assembly instructions at all! The video shows 1 person using a crank to lift the hoop up but the instructions say you need 2 people to lift it and there was no crank.it was extremely heavy and awkward and the process was nothing like the video in the product description and there was nothing easy about it! It’s very frustrating when this was the main reason you spent so much to buy this system.

This is good for what it is and probably the best of the portable hoops out there. It was easy to set up and with cleaning everything up it was probably around an hour to set up. We had a couple of issues, the backside of backboard had a pretty significant white scuff on it and the film that covered the front was under the frame and hard to remove. Otherwise it’s good. I think they should provide base gel with these units in the future as well.

Great system. Took about an hour to setup as had to re-adjust the backboard to make it level. Highly recommend this EZ model (other non-EZ model takes 6 hours to build). If I was to do it over again I'd buy the next size up (54" backboard). Make sure that you don't fill the base until it's in position :)
Took about an hour to assemble and got to final step of adjusting the height and the height adjustment mechanism did not work. There are 2 other reviews that mention this same problem. Called customer service and they have not been very helpful in resolving the issue. The Spalding team needs to address this manufacturing issue and would not recommend buying this hoop until they do.
Disappointed that I spent the extra money for the 54" inch clear clear view backboard. Upon arrival, the backboard had white streaks running down most of the backboard. Tried to clean them off but it seems like its embedded into the acrylic. Emailed the company and haven't heard back. Kids were excited and couldn't wait to use it and I was tired of waiting for a response from the company so I wound up putting it together. Set-up was easy enough but overall disappointed in the quality of the backboard.
Update: After 4+ hours talking to same person in customer service who will not transfer you to any supervisor or manager but rather go and talk to them and then return to tell you what they say is so unprofessional and complete garbage. They finally emailed me details that are barely legible and I can see comes from their recall website. So again, no information on the newly engineered model. Perhaps they are currently ongoing litigation and can’t share the details to us customers that are purchasing. I can’t stress enough how bogus the entire Spalding support is for the consumer.Here is what they provided and notice how they now are excluding Amazon when Amazon has received shipments from Spalding with new engineered part number with the recalled product. Over 1000 for nothing, as I'm attaching the "unbreakable" rim to the arm the glass shatters. And I don't have time to take it all the way apart after spending 5 hrs putting it together to ship it shattered all the way back. Sadly I can't post pictures on here. No mas Spalding.
So glad I found this baby! I didn’t want the hassle of putting together a goal that takes hours. This couldn’t have been created at a better time. 30 mins is no lie. The video helped me breeze thru and my son is extremely happy with his gift. You will not go wrong with the Spalding portable it’s a beast!!!!
Spalding as a company is deleting negative reviews. Currently Spalding is selling recalled units to Amazon under the newly engineered model. I left 2 reviews and within 24 hours they have all been deleted. I will also post the same on Amazon where they will be unable to delete. This demonstrates my previous deleted review of the poor customer support and business practice Spalding is displaying. I was on call with Spalding for nearly 5 hours and not once would Spalding send me documentation on the newly engineered model nor would Spalding allow me to speak to a manager. Instead, the customer service Rep would ask management questions and then come back to me with their answer.
