Spectra S1+ Hospital Grade Double Electric Breast Pump

This is a great pump for travel and on the go! I was worried about suction level, but have been pleasantly surprised with the power of this tiny pump! I use the spectra S2 pump regularly on 4 massage mode (1-2 minutes) and 54 (highest rate of pump suction) 7-8 (intensity) in the expression modes for 10 minutes and it fully empties the breast and is so quite. With this pump you cannot independently change the rate and intensity of expression, and I have to use the highest level massage mode for about 2-3 minutes and then the expression on 7-8 (also want to note with this pump- the rate of the pump sucking decreases as the intensity of suction increases as the number goes up) for about 15 minutes to get the same result in milk output. I got this pump for a bachelorette weekend I’m about to go on in a few weeks where the large S2 is just not going to be as convenient/practical to use to pump on an airplane where there’s no power hookup or while out and about with no place to hook up to power source or while I’m on the go in general to lug around. For a small pump that can run on its own, this feels like the perfect solution. It is still pretty quite (though not as quiet as the S2) and I think you can get 3 pumps in before needing to re-charge.

I love this pump! It’s portable with the rechargeable battery so I don’t have to search or be tied down to an outlet. There is a night light with two levels of brightness perfect for night time pumping. It’s quiet so I don’t have to worry about it startlingly my baby when I pump next to her. I pump exclusively so it’s nice to be able to pump and bottle feed my newborn with the help of a good hands free pumping bra. You don’t have to worry about water getting into your lines and damaging the hoses because of the valves they have giving your peace of mind when the parts are not all perfectly dry when you go to pump. The parts are easy to clean and maintain. My favorite part though are the settings on the pump which have helped increase my milk supply!

Best breast pump Ever

As a full time employed 2nd time mom who has solely breastfed, I painfully went through almost all the brands of breast pumps out there before I found the SpectraS1. Pictured is a 20min pump with my SpectraS1. It's the most milk I have ever extracted with any pump in such a short amount of time. Pumping is so painless and yields so much milk that for the first time, I actually look forward to Pumping. I love this pump! The only thing I would say though is that you make sure you have the right size flange. Take the time to measure your nipple and if the standard 24mm that come with the pump don't work for you, go on Amazon and order your size from their store. This pump will change your life!

Game Changer!

Forget the $300 - $500 pumps. I originally bought the Willow 3 and I honestly prefer my Spectra S1 pump. I dreaded pumping with my Willow because the suctioning hurts so much. I bought the correct flange inserts and no matter what I did, there was always a pinching feeling. With the Spectra I didn’t have to worry about if I’m inserting my breasts correctly into the flange. Literally just pop it on and start. The suctioning felt so light and soft, it did not hurt my nipples at all compared to the willow. I got so much more milk output and honestly am so in love with this pump. I only charge the battery for 10 to 15 minutes and the battery was already halfway full. Don’t even think about any other pumps get this one! You will no longer dread pumping.

I Love this Breast Pump

I did some research on breast pumps before making this model my choice. It had every feature that worked best for me. Breastfeeding is a challenge within itself. Having a good breast pump makes things smoother. I currently have an 11 week old baby who I exclusively breastfeed. This little machine is helping me get some much needed rest. I can now have a supply of milk available for dad to take over feedings. I’m able to pump while my newborn sleeps. The machine does make noise while pumping but it’s not loud at all. My baby gets startled with any noise but this machine has yet to wake her from her sleep. Being portable is very convenient as well. Life saver - couldn’t be happier!

I was initially using a different pump from another brand in the beginning of my breastfeeding journey, however I wasn’t super happy with it. I decided to get the Spectra S1 following a recommendation from my sister, who had used one during her pregnancy. I am so impressed with it, I’ve been telling anyone who will listen! It is so much quieter than my old one, and has way more functions! It’s easy to set up, and very lightweight. I especially love the light function as it has come in handy during night time pumping sessions, night feeds, and even nappy changes!! Lifesaver so far when you can't breastfeed

I'm so glad I bought this pump during pregnancy as I have had issues getting baby to latch from the start. So have been expressing and bottle feeding every 3h. Love the night light and different cycle modes. Once I researched which cycles work best I got a decent output. The only problem are the flanges. I used the 24mm for the first 5 weeks but was in pain and very sore from pumping. My lactation consultant didn't do any measurements or dealt with my pump issues but got me a 20mm ****** shield. So I assumed it was the correct size and decided to get the 20mm ****** size only to find out it was still too big. Had to order the 16mm to now feel fairly comfortable on the pump. Every time I had to spend $23 on shipping so totalling $134 spent on getting ****** sizes. Perfect for work, time efficient, very quiet machine, with many different setting to suit your level of comfort. I can express my milk fully in less than 15 minutes. Which is why I love it for work. Makes breaks easier. I also enjoy the night light for night time sessions.Improvements/recommendations:I would love to see this brand offer the option to select personalized flange sizes. As it comes with only 2 sizes (24mm %2632mm). I had to buy flange inserts. I also like how versatile it is to find compatible parts for the spectra on Amazon. However, I would like for spectra to have the option to select the size of the pumping bottles. It came with 2 5oz I had to purchase 8oz bottles for it off Amazon that were compatible. I gave it a 5 star review for the quality of the machine. But would give it a 4 when it comes to the accessories.

The Spectra S1 has allowed me to provide breast milk for my baby and has made a very difficult situation easier and definetely more sustainable.The pump is highly efficient and allows me to have a full bottle ready in 10 min including 2 min for letdown.
