Decent alternative to Apple's clear case - but without the ring

This is a very good case that displays the iPhone 12 Pro in all its beauty. The fit is excellent, with the phone snapping in snugly in the case. The back is hard polycarbonate with flexible TPU sides and even around the cut out for the camera. The case feels very slim in hand and looks to offer good protection all around, especially in the corners and edges. It is an excellent alternative to Apple’s much more expensive clear MagSafe case. The only negative I can find is that fingerprints show up easily on the back of the case, which has me wiping it often, but that’s the nature of having a clear plastic case.Spigen’s iPhone cases have always provided an excellent value over some of the more expensive competition. Feels quality, looks like would provide good protection, a bit thicker than I expected.

It's always a trade off on phone cases between protection and thickness of the case. The thicker they are, obviously the more protection they provide. But also the more intrusive they become when handling your phone.This case provides good coverage and protection. Edges are raised so you can put your phone face down without touching the screen. There are also raised ridges on the back in the three corners opposite the camera lenses to keep that off of the surface too. And then the thickness of the case itself around the phone - it's not excessive, but does to provide substantial protection (I'm not going to drop test it though). Great Inexpensive case, worried about longevity

I’ve used Spigen cases on my list 3 iPhones and haven’t been disappointed. They’re inexpensive, simple and so far have held up at least a year. Getting this case, I was excited to see it appears to be of one single type of material that won’t yellow. I’ve had previous clear cases from other manufacturers that eventually turned yellow. This case is super slim, and with a screen protector, I feel totally protected. The raised edge around the screen isn’t the biggest, so if you drop the phone directly onto its face, it may scratch. The only worry I have is the longevity of this case. Since it’s so slim, the sides don’t seem as structurally sound as others and may stretch out or distort shape, not fully conforming to the shape of the iPhone for a year or more. Great quality case that needs just small refinements as the side buttons are not very responsive

I’m a huge fan of these cases and every year it’s a struggle to find a case that is aesthetically pleasing, comfortable to hold and functional. Ultimately it’s this clear case that wins. It started out as a quick shopping experience to get something protective on the iPhone while more cases make it to the market. Four years ago when I did that I immediately loved the case and ultimately everyone in the house was using them. I also believe if Spigen could get the MagSafe in this case it would flat out be so much better than Apple’s clear case which I found too slick and not a fan of the bottom not being covered.Update 11/1 after many attempts it is nearly impossible for my 16 your old to do screen shots and identify buttons due to the low profile. While the low profile helps keep the case form fitting it causes the buttons to be too difficult to respond for volume up and down as well as screen shots. I’ve struggled with it as well but have decided I will keep my case but will have to send his back as he gets too frustrated with the button covers being too flat.

As other reviewers have written, the case doesn’t seem to fit quite right.It’s loose around the volume buttons. Almost as if the case got stretched out a bit on that side.It doesn’t sit flat. There are raised edges on three back corners. But not on the corner by the cameras. There are raised edges around the camera but they aren’t the same height as the corner edges. So it rocks whenever you have the phone sitting flat and push in the upper right corner. This is just poor engineering and design.There is way too much branding and text on the sides of the case. Having “Spigen” (left side, lower corner) I understand. But do I really need to see that it has “Air Cushion Technology” (top side, left corner)? Or “Designed in Irvine California. I’ve bought Spigen cases for my phones for a while now. I find their quality for the price the same as you’d find as the big box store. Why pay that huge retail price. The grip on it is great, it’s not slippery. I do like on this particular case, that they closed the tabs on the corners of the case on the back. They used to have small openings, and when you put your phone in your pocket dirt and dust would get back there. I like my phone fingerprint free. Now let’s discuss that, you will get fingerprints on the back of the case, big deal. Get a microfiber cloth and wipe it down. I really like the feel of this new design case too, the buttons on the side seem to have gone through a redesign since my xr. Wow. Wow. WOW! Really impressed!

Honestly WAY better than I was expecting. Most clear cases have a somewhat textured surface obscuring the design on the back but this is crystal clear. The back is equipped with footing at all corners to protect the back from scratching when on the table. The buttons are VERY easy to press despite being thick and protective. The corners are fitting with air cushion technology for impact protection. The design allows the phone to stand freely on its side and just barely fits with a screen protector! This case (unlike others on the market) actually covers the metal frame of the iPhone 12 all the way to the glass! I suppose depending on how accurately your screen protector is fitted would either make or break this case working with your phone.
