Having wasted money on a cheap Chinese vice that literally broke apart, this Stanley product appears to be worth the extra cost. It is well made and I think worth it - you get what you pay for

Okay this is not a Record vice and the finish is a bit rough in places, but at this price it is a excellent buy. The swivel base will be handy but the lack of a quick release is a shame but not a game changer. Easy to fit and hopefully will put up with the usual abuse a vice gets. Overall very happy with my purchase.
Great item, well packed and way better then I expected it to be. Prices in machine mart was almost double for something similar so I can't complain. The quality of the product is also great.
I was actually shocked to receive such something that in my opinion was such excellent value for money. It is bigger in reality than the picture suggests and it is very robust. I started to use it straight away and found it easy to set up and use. No binding whatsoever in the screw mechanism and holds the work perfectly. I certainly can recommend this Vice to anyone looking for one.
Great quality heavy duty 6 inch engineers vice. needs securing with 16mm bolts. Perfect for my workshop and car / motorcycle repair / renovation.
Multiple members of my family have chosen to use this bench. In terms of the price, there is no comparison if one wants to work in ideal conditions. I would like to highlight the maximum opening for the tool's jaws, which is great. You can distinguish a good handyman by his/her tools and today you've made this 68 year old handyman very happy.
Good sturdy Vice - you seem to get sent the Stanley "Fatmax" instead of the "Maxsteel" vice, possibly an upgrade, but its beefy and appears to be well designed. you will need fairly beefed bolts (M12+) to mount it properly.
