As a novice doing DIY this combination square helped make my project be a lot more accurate. There are so many functions which I picked up from YouTube using this tool.

I've been using this square for my woodwork projects and I'm definitely happy with it - Easily adjustable, a decent weight, and the level is handy too.

This is a good quality item, nice clean cut edges and easy to read numbers. It's been a good replacement thus far.

Yeah mine was inaccurate too, and I did something about it.The design of this square is great. The slide has a bump on each side of the bolt, inside where the ruler is inserted, along where the ruler edge butts up against the slide.Take a small, flat file and file down whichever bump that is higher than the other. Yes it will take some time - filing, checking, filing, checking.. but you will then have a "perfectly" true square. How true you want it, and how competent you are at assessing it, is up to you. Some may think "I shouldn't have to fix a square". Well take it from me, not many squares are "square", be they combination, tee or try squares.I've had this one for over seven years and have used it on countless jobs. I love my stanley square.
less than 90 degreesDraw a line like an L shape, and then turn it over and draw a line like a J shape. You will know if the two lines are parallel.
I bought one of these a few years ago and luckily have only used it a couple of times. Today I was marking some wood for cutting and the 90 degree angle had to be spot on. When I was double-checking the top and base with a steel ruler one side kept ending up a mm or so different. I kept re-marking the wood and each time it was out. Finally I checked my Stanley Combination Square against a few set squares and, sure enough, it's out by approx 1mm over the 300mm length of the ruler. Should've paid more and got something that wasn't junk.
I found this square isn't exactly true, no amount of tightning the slide lock will help either. If you're working over a short distance you can get away with the degree of error but if you're marking anything more than 150mm you'll be out by an annoying amount every time
Very good quality, used for multiple jobs around the house
The level in this square is not leveled. ... Not very useful is it?
I bought this when my fuller square broke. It is kind of the same design but does feel more robust. Every time I use it, it brings me great joy. The only down side is the sticker on it has left a greasy mark at one end of the ruler that doesn't want to come off - however the other end is fine. Gotta run - off to measure some things!!
