Starbucks by Nespresso Caffe Verona Coffee Pods 10 Capsules

Starbucks hasn’t ever been my first choice when it comes to coffee - 7/10 times at my local Starbucks it lacks the kind of intensity I like but as a coffee fiend I won’t turn it down. I decided to use these nespresso pods for an espresso to get the full flavour and was pleasantly surprised. I’m no flavour expert but there’s definitely chocolate-y notes that are really satisfying and it’s a great consistency, not too watered down, strong but not too bitter. Would definitely be happy to drink this again.

I love the packaging of these pods, and sets you up to know you’re about to have a delicious coffee! There are 10 pods in the pack and easy to store if you don’t have one of those pod holder things. They are easy to use with a Nespresso machine. The flavour is rich and full and I can’t wait to have another tomorrow morning! I was very excited to try Starbucks at Home with Nespresso. I love my Starbucks visits and I love my Nespresso for which I’ve only bought genuine Nespresso pods. The aroma was very inviting and with depth. Unfortunately for me this is where it ends. I found the taste too bitter and that overpowered tasting any flavour. I regularly have Roma and Arpeggio from Nespresso so I do enjoy strong coffee but I prefer something I can taste more of the different notes of flavour of the coffee. I found it was fine to use in my at home pumpkin spice latte with almond milk. I’d definitely try other pods in the Starbucks at Home range.

We’ve had a Nespresso machine in the house for some time and we tend to get the Nespresso brand pods as some others have been low quality. Not these ones, the crema and consistency of the coffee is amazing and the pods fit our machine perfectly. This flavour in particular is a new favourite, I really like a dark roast but often they can be bitter. This one had more dark chocolate notes which worked really well, I’ll definitely be picking up more of these as they are good value for money!

This flavour is a stronger blend so is perfect for those days when you need a bigger hit of caffeine. Has a good, strong flavour to it and keeps you on your toes. It's super easy to prepare as you just pop it in your Nespresso machine and let it do all the work for you. It has a nice aroma and is great first thing. I received this as a complimentary sample - my review is based on my experience of the product.

this is so amazing, in fact it taste just like Starbucks! amazing dark cocoa notes along with chocolate hints. it’s sw eet at first with a light bitterness that hits you straight afterwards, it is extremely rich and intense and smells amazing in the morning. I even had a few friends over for a brunch and made this in the nespresso machine for them and they were all pleasantly surprised with how much likeness it shared with an actual Starbucks coffee and for half the price and from the comfort of your own home. I can’t wait to try the other pods in these packages. I cannot recommend this product enough.

Caffe Verona is perfect for all my strong coffee lovers! You can add milk and/or sugar for it to not be too strong if that’s something you don’t like but Verona tastes really nice! The capsules work great with my Nespresso machine and I really enjoyed trying out these roasty sweet and dark cocoa notes. I’m also loving the fact these capsules are recyclable via Nespresso’s website!

I was utterly thrilled to review this as part of a Voxbox :) I've always been a Starbucks person. My to go items are usually a Vanilla Latte extra Shot or Iced Latte... I know, I'm pretty boring. But I like them. They're reliable!! I've never tried the Starbucks Caffè Verona before. The Nespresso machine is normally my partners to go morning coffee, and I'm more inclined to indulge in one occasionally with milk- since I'm not a black coffee person I've tended to avoid using the Nespresso, and opted for the sachets. It's gotta be good. I hope? As a mum to 3 small children, I'm extremely busy and barely get a chance to drink my morning coffee, let alone create a nice fancy one. But having a machine do it for you- I can see the appeal 1000%. I admit, upon realising that the Caffè Verona is very very strong- I panicked. I knew that I wouldn't be able to consume it, no matter how frothy it was or it's beautiful aroma (my partner on the other hand LOVES it). Day 1- Whilst the capsule was working it's magic in the machine, I got out my electric milk frother and made a nice vanilla froth using some Vanilla syrup. It was delicious, the coffee albeit was strong, but the latte concoction took the edge off and added sweetness. It was a refreshing kick!!! I could get used to it after a few cups. I managed to make this in under 5 minutes surprisingly. Day 2- This time I decided to try making a Mocha. Not as easy as the previous days latte. took me longer and definitely not as practical for everyday. Again, it packed a punch. The richness of the dark cocoa powder with the intensity of the coffee, it wasn't for the weak (weak coffee drinkers at least). I probably wouldn't make it again. Day 3- I didn't bother in the morning as I was too busy, so I decided to make Affogato after dinner. I know you're supposed to use Espresso, but this coffee is strong enough for me. Basically hot coffee poured over Gelato (Ice cream). I used Haagen Dazs vanilla. This was delicious. the icy sweetness of the ice cream with the hot coffee poured over. Loved it. I highly recommend these Starbucks Pods. The quality is outstanding, and just so so easy to use. I wouldn't personally buy the Caffè Verona again, but I've ordered some Blonde Roast and extremely excited about trying it. My mornings will be filled with energy, and finally a delicious cup of coffee AT HOME!!!! I should've tried this sooner......

Dark, strong with good flavour this coffee is sure to start your day off well. These pods are at the intense end of the spectrum so you get a lovely rich flavour that isn’t bitter. Use as you would your usual Nespresso pod. I personally like to let the coffee sit just a little before drinking. You can also recycle the pods by contacting Starbucks. Like having a Starbucks pick me up espresso at home.

I genuinely love Starbucks coffee and was happy to receive these capsules to try. the Caffe Verona one is amazing when you need a strong espresso in the morning or during the day to wake you up and set your head straight. Lovely strong and intensive taste which is also well balanced. Definitely gives you the much needed kick. Fast becoming my go to and now that the darker days are coming it will be a staple.
