I have been in the technology business for over 35 years and for the past 20+ years I have been asked to provide unbiased reviews of various products from both the AV and IT world. In review of this product I have found that this product provides true 4K video from the 4 independent sources. Unlike others I have tested, there is no tearing or pixelation during fast motion video partly due to the 60Hz refresh rate where others in this same class only allow 30Hz. What a nice product. I found the overall build quality of this to be great and the ability to switch from one HDMI source was simple and easy. There was no pixelation and no interference at all with this unit. I have one device that would not detect properly but this is a very old HDMI 1.0 source which may have had something to do with it. Every other product I tried worked perfectly and there was no degradation of image quality. The manufacturer is pretty clear that this thing is supposed to work at 4k, HDR, 60hz, but I haven't achieved that yet. I have a PS4 Pro connected to my TV through this thing. If I plug the PS4 directly into the ~10' cable to the TV, I get 4k HDR 60hz. If I run the PS4 through this switch (using a 3' cable that will also give me 4k HDR 60hz when plugged directly from the PS4 to the TV), l may get video or sound for a fraction of a second, but basically no connection. It does work at 4k, HDR, 30hz. So, it's either this thing or the cables or a combination. I'll update after I try things out with the new cable. Update: Works at 4k HDR 60hz with a 15' Monoprice certified cable.

This is the only HDMI switcher that I have found that actually works with a DVD player, a satellite dish, and an Home Essentials Direct Fire TV. Switching is quick and flawless. Every other HDMI switcher I have tried could not switch away from an active signal to another active signal. This one can! If you are looking for a HDMI switcher that just works - here it is!

When I first bought this unit I needed extra hdmi ports for Xbox One (original), Switch, and PS3. The PC and PS4 Pro were hooked up to the other UHD hdmi ports. So I never tested it with a 4k HDR signal. Everything worked fine. Then I upgraded to Xbox one X and then I noticed the image would black out and have wavy lines and random pixel distortion. So I tried other cables and the problem persisted . Finally I went with certified monoprice cables and everything came in crystal clear. However the PS4 pro would still have random drop outs. I researched the issue and I found that changing the setting to YUV420 fixed that issue. Now I am having a great experience with this product. Make sure you have good hdmi cables that can handle the bandwidth of 4k HDR

Works almost

I bought this as a cheap short term solution for a difficult problem in an aula. At first it seemed to work but yesterday the pc could not detect the attached beamer. It switched to another laptop without a problem. But the pc did not recognise any device even if it did the day before. I'll go back and fiddle with the cabling a bit.Back to the old drawing board...

Works great. It handles the 4K signal from my Nvidia Shield TV without any issues, which my older HDMI switch could not do. Now I've been able to consolidate all of my home theater devices through a single input, vastly simplifying changing between them. Highly recommended.

Works perfectly to, well, choose between one of several HDMI inputs in my server room. As others have mentioned: red light is too bright, unit operates on +5 instead of +12 volts, and the power input is on the side (instead of the back). None of those is a showstopper.
