Very good, easy to install, practical and well thought out because it works without a battery. I thought the magnet system did not work because the little red latch did not go down but in fact it is completely normal, the cat pushes with its head and the red latch goes down naturally

Bought this to replace a much older version that was looking a bit the worse for wear. The design is so much nicer and I really like the way it minimises draughts - the last one was very draughty. The mechanism is also a lot smoother and my cat is using it quite happily.

I've bought 3 of these in 5 years, they work really well for around a year and then the electronic parts die as they have cheap electronic parts, so therefore infrared stops working. All the cat flap mechanism continues to work so I have to buy a whole replacement and therefore I now have 3 spare ones, though the only reason I use this make, as I have made a hole in the wall to fit this brand, and I cant bring my self to make a larger hole for the chip flap, or a superior make which is what i should do...basically this is a just stop gap! Though my question is why does Pet Safe not make this item 10-30 more expensive and use higher quality parts, instead of creating constant landfill.....Though i have the same question for everything made out of plastic I suppose!

These cat flaps are pretty good for the price. We had to replace our one after years of use by our cat. They work incredibly well at keeping out strays and the neighbor's cats. I would definitely recommend this to others if they were having problems like we were. Highly recommended.
Its pretty discoloured now and the outer plastic Tunnel chipped and cracked last few years but still works and took a long time to wear. I was thinking about buying another but the it can be loud when magnetic flap stops. Least I know they last.

The cat door is excellent. First, I owned two of them previously - one for our house and one for the recreational home (I have moved and my ex kept the residences and cat doors). As they are operated with magnets no electricity (dead batteries or loss of power) is not a problem. It took me a couple of hours to train my cats (pushed them through the door a couple of times). No more cat litter as they naturally starting going outside after I put some cat litter where I wanted them to go. At first they wanted to use the flower gardens but stopped on their own to go to the intended place. Best of all, the cat doors have come down a long ways in price. I am very satisfied. And no other animals can come in.
This is a straightforward cat door for installation in doors up to 2" thick. It has a nice 4-way lock design to help control your cat's comings and goings.

this piece of kit is as good as it needs to be,timed lock both ways, or in only or out only, open or locked,each cat has same access or each cat can have different access, works off the cats chip or collar tag,but here is the best bit our cat was 6yrs old when we installed this flap so it took a little while teaching her to use it and one of the best ideas of this flap is there is a teaching mode where the can flap is always open making the flap easier to open when shes trying to use it ...took about 4weeks and if you stop leaving doors and windows open so she has to use it teasing her through with treats she now has managed to work it out and comes and goes through the flap, next step is to have it open only for her chip this means the flap is locked until her chip ...
