The product seems to be of good quality and functional. However, the cats are having some issues with the magnetic door securing device having more resistance to opening than the previous cat flap. They tend to push the flap with there pores first to see if its locked. Having a magmatic catch it keeps shutting. However i think this is something that they will overcome in time. The fitting is a little tricky due to the close proximity of the fixings to the edge of the cat flap door and the fixing screws are very small.

The product is fine, with this reservation. The fixing holes are too close to the edge of the necessary aperture in the door which allows the smaller flap to open through it. This is a design issue not a reflection on the supplier who despatched the flap efficiently. By simply enlarging the flap to allow the fixing holes to be put a further 5mm from the edge of the plastic edge this product could be improved.

I agree with those who say the placement of the bolt holes makes this difficult to fit. I got there in time but it really should be easy. I had to adapt it a little.Cutting the big hole is easy and it has helpful instructions, just the four little ones!

If like me, you need a flap to let multiple pets out to toilet without opening the back door and letting the icy air into your home several time a day, this is about as useful as cutting a hole in the door and tacking an old bit of plastic over the orifice. In fact the hole and plastic will be as effective but a lot cheaper. This door is so draughty due to the large gap at the top. I installed one this morning and my feet are like blocks of ice because of the arctic breeze whistling through this flap. It's be better not to have one in winter. Might be fine for warm weather but in winter, not at all. Since I installed it I've had to have the heating turned up to try to counteract the hefty draught blowing through the flap. Parts were well made and the instructions were adequate with templates for hole cutting. Fitting the outer and inner parts is fine but the pieces to create a clean entry through the door were a real fiddle. Having cut the hole exactly to size I found it needed to be about 2-3mm bigger all round. What a chore. So much better to have made the pattern a touch larger. It has a slide down shutter to blank it off at night or if away.
This was a replacement for an exact same product that had broken - its a nice basic cat flap and doesn't make a noise when the cats are coming in and out unless they are tearing through it! As the price reflects if the cats really batter through it it will wont last forever but as a basic entrance - its great and easy to fit once the cutting has been made in the door.
I was replacing an old for new which I thought would have saved me having to cut a new hole or drill new bolt holes. Wrong! The flap was ever so slightly larger, so I still had to get the tools out to fit. The other difficult thing was trying to get the tiny nuts on the bolts. Took me 2-3 hours on my own. Really needs 2 people, and then its still difficult!!! Sure they could think of an easier way to fix, like having a moulded nut holder on one side, that the nut coud sit in, while tightening the bolt from the other side.. SORTED ! Having said that. Its a decent cat flap for the most affordable model.

I've purchased 4 of these in 18 months- more fool me! The reason I bought more is because I thought that it would be easier as the hole in the door was already there! It might be ok for a cat, but it is described as a per door therefore, it suggests that it is suitable for small dogs. Two miniature dachshunds in this case. The plastic around the hinge isn't strong enough so it breaks easily. On all occasions it has broken here. I'm currently looking for alternatives. If you are considering purchasing this product to be used by a cat, you might be ok. But, beware if you are going to use it for a dog, they might be too boisterous for it and the plastic hinge won't be strong enough!
