Its a good iron but it doesn't make it very clear how to use the steam buttons and the instructions are too difficult to follow - simple clear diagrams with numbers pointed at the part and a description- that's all anyone needs. Any why did Philips shorten the cord - my previous cord was much longer - now I need an extension. And also the clip on the cord to hold the cord together. This is a safety aspect and they took it away. If Philips are short on money I'm happy to swing a few dollars their way to have these fixed

I have been needing a new iron as mine was quite old and oh boy did this deliver. The Philips 3000 series is a must for quick ironing, it has a powerful steam boost of up to 200 g which cuts through creases with so much ease. It is quite lightweight which is a bonus as I have a weak wrist, as it’s a Philips it’s really well made and great quality, but best of all it cut my ironing time down by about 50%. For me this iron is a no brainier. I recommend this steam iron to anyone who wants a great quality product which is super efficient at its job.

Firstly I love the colour of this iron, it's very sleek and looks expensive. The steam function is excellent for getting out shallow wrinkles, and it has a booster to get the deep wrinkles out. The thing I'm most pleased about is that it doesn't leave a big patch of damp after using steam. Definitely worth the money.

The Philips 3000 Series DST3041/89 Steam iron is a game-changer! Its powerful steam output and smooth glide make ironing a breeze. The precision tip and ergonomic design are fantastic. A must-have for wrinkle-free perfection!
Got this to replace one that was on its last legs.So far I've had no issues at all.Heats up quickly which is great and adjust the temp really quickly.Large gap between the handle and the dial which is great for my fat hands.Cable is plenty long enough,maybe could be a bit long but thats a minor gripe.Water tank holds enough for the amount of ironing I do I one sitting and its easily filled without spilling any water.Steam function is good and really helps with stubborn creases.Overall I'm very happy with this iron.
I am quite pleased with this iron. My previous iron was quite old so definately needed replacing, so as you can imagine, this was quite an upgrade lol.The iron has a good weight to it, and a generous size gap between the handle and dial, allowing a larger hand to hold it comfortably. The cord could do with maybe another half a metre but it is manageable as is. It glides over the fabric effortlessly without any sticking and irons out the creases perfectly. For thicker/heavier items, the steam boost works wonders to cut through those creases. I dont usually iron everything, but i think i might do now with this iron.
I wanted to like thos but unfortunately for an iron that claims to be light, it is rather heavy. After doing a good few items, you can start to really feel it! Otherwise for smaller loads of ironing it is smooth, glides nicely over clothes. The steam often splashed clothes but dried quickly after going it over with the iron.
A very lightweight iron which is great if you have lots to iron so your arms doesn’t get too tired out. Heat up very quickly and overall a good steam iron to use without it being complicated. The instructions manual doesn’t have much English instructions which makes it hard to understand just by looking at the pictures but if used an iron before won’t take long to figure it out. Simple and does the job.

The worst Philips iron I have ever purchased, I strongly recommend you put your $$ elsewhere and buy another brand. With this iron it is a chore to iron, you should not have to apply pressure to get the iron to glide along clothes, the power cord is exceptionally short I went out and bought a 2M extension cord. The Steam/Water Spray buttons are to close to where your hand sits on the handle so you keep pressing randomly as you attempt to force this iron forward, it picks and gathers at your clothes (as the iron doesn't glide), where the cord sticks out from the iron always sticks out up, even when you move it to point ... not only does it look good but it irons great as well. this iron is so easy to use and does a brilliant job on all the things ive ironed so far. it glides over all fabrics so lightly but yet irons them perfectly. the steam function is brilliant for thicker items and the creases literally fall out easily. its quite light weighted as well so that makes it easier to use for large loads and bulky items. i cannot recommend this steam iron enough.
