Coming from a Razer Kraken V3 I like these better for a few reasons. Sound quality and localization are very similar. I find the mic noise cancellation superior on the Steelseries. Which really helps in a noisy environment. The active noise cancellation in the headphones is far superior on the Steelseries. Extremely overrated, after being upsold these by one of thr JB Hifi sales people I thought these must be the best headphones out they claimed they would be above and beyond my old headphones. Needless to say I got these home and they are absolutely garbage, the battery life is far less than other brands, yes it has hot swap batteries but that is more of a gimic.The important part the sound is absolutely trash, the bass is distorted and the levels are way off, it's inbuilt and required software are useless bloatware and their Sonar APP causes more issues than it solves. I ended up returning the Steel Series cause they where that bad, they sound and perform like $40 headphones. The price tag turned me away at first, but I became super curious as to how the transmitter was used, and once I learned it had a built-in EQ that could be utilized not only on PC but on my PS5 as well, I made a quick trip to the store to pick these up.I'm really in love with how the clear and fulfilling the sound is (after adjusting the EQ settings to suit my hearing pleasure) as well as the range at which I could use the headset when talking to friends in Discord without it dropping connection nor causing my voice to sound robotic or cut in and out. The core feature of this headset is the ability to swap seamlessly between two devices using the transmitter included as well as two USB-C cables that are also included.Using the receiver, I'm able to swap between my PS5 and Gaming PC, as well as swap my battery packs. So the way that works is that you have TWO battery packs, one for the headset, the other a spare. You don't have to charge the headset using a cable, just simply swap the battery packs, and yes, the receiver serves as a charging base for the battery pack. So when one battery is dying, just do a quick swap and your back online.This, is also seamless, at least for me because I keep the headset on when I'm swapping, and after the new battery is placed in it automatically powers back on, so within at least 10 seconds of swapping battery packs I'm back to conversing with my friends.I also have to mention, the microphone is amazing, it doesn't pick on any background noise at all be it if I'm eating or drinking or whatever, it won't pick up on anything. Though this is if you're using it through Discord, when I use it on my PS5, it will still pick up a bit but not as much as I thought it would, however you could argue it's because these are Discord-certified but I digress. All in all, the primary reason I bought this headset was because I wanted an EQ system, and what I got was much more than that so if something ever happens to this set, I'll be buying them again.

Easy to install and configure, however I started noticing things as I went along....The first thing is the output line would switch overnight to Stream from Speakers, causing the mic on the headset to talk through my speakers and into my headset every morning. Not a deal breaker, but annoying for the price.Secondly, the device was fairly uncomfortable on my ears (which are larger). Then in the week that I've had this headset so far I've had to hard reset both the base and my headset three times because the mixer wheel button has stopped responding to the program meaning I can't move move the channel mixer back and forth, the old system didn't require this you only had to have the headset set up on the computer and then you could jump back and forth between your chat and your game channel.then there's the feel of the headset, now this could just be me not used to the headset yet much like how the buttons are however I don't like the overall feel of how it is on my head, and the active noise cancellation that it has works somewhat, but considering that it's an over ear headset, I expected far more than what it provides I can still very clearly hear anyone around me or my equipment around me.TLDR;- bad layout(both battery and buttons)- unreliable software/driver set- bad ANC- same audio quality as the old model- expensivebetter rangelonger battery lifehas the ability to swap between 3 devices concurrently (line 1, 2 and a Bluetooth device)All In all, while I'm not going to be returning this headset because it does work for what I want it for, and it is nice. if the arctis Pro Wireless is still on the market when you read this review, save yourself the $70 to $100 and just buy the old model, given my experience with both of them, I feel the old model was vastly superior.

The DAC can be connected to a Mac or PC to modify the equalizer settings to your desired settings, plus it comes with many preset settings for many of the top gaming titles. For example, there are settings for Baldur’s Gate 3, FPS, and Footsteps, just to name a few.With the 2 batteries, you’ll never run out of power either, especially since each one spans multiple hours of gaming. Each one lasts me a few days, because I only use them a few hours each time, so I lose track of how long it’s been in. The active noise cancellation is also a wonderful feature as well, so you can game in areas that aren’t quiet and not worry about it. There are also various side tone settings as well, so you know if you’re talking louder than you need to, rather than possibly yelling in other players’ ears. They also allow you to hear your personal surroundings as well if you want. Turn off side tone and you’ll have a hard time hearing your parents or spouse. Turn it on High, and you can hear the game and your parents or spouse at the same time. Personally, I keep my side tone off, so I can hear my game but not what’s going on in the real world, because full immersion is what’s most important to me.
Ive owned 4 versions of the steelseries wrieless pro over the years. 2 were in the previous model and 2 in thr current nova model. While the nova sounds pretty crisp once you mess with the settings, I have an issue with how it no longer allows you to have sound playing from the tv and the headset simultaeously. You can only do one or the other at a time. The previous model allowed this. Had the batteries not lost much of their consistent charge after constantly using them over 2 years, I would have kept it. This is still a great headset especially if you take advantage of the PC upgrade. I am on console, so I only have access to what is in the DAC. Do not use the default settings. They are horrible. These headphones blew me put of the water with their sound quality while gaming, and listening to music. The simultaneous bluetooth works pretty good, and is the best headphone yet ive tried with this feature. It can have interference though if you have the bluetooth on and many 2.4 g wireless acessories nearby. I like the battery system and how it comes with two, it makes for longee wireless gaming times. The anc is okay, for a gaming headset. Dont expect the anc to be better than bose or airpods max or sony headphones. Also, if you use anc, and speak at the same time, it cant exactly cancel out all of your voice, so you get a weird slight annoying feedback loop. If im gaming without talking anc isnt a problem. They are the most comfortable headphones I have ever owned. The cushions are extremely soft, and my head doesn't feel squeezed in a vice. I regularly wear them for hours at a time.The sound quality is superb. If the game has spatial sound, I can hear critters sneaking up on me even better than with my previous SteelSeries headphones. Look in the Microsoft store for "Dolby Access". It's worth the money because when you turn on "Spatial Sound" and use "Dolby Atmos for headphones" you will get beautiful simulated surround sound. It works well, but it kept nagging me to use features I don't need to the point where it felt like it was sending information about what I was doing with my computer back to the company. It also popped up an ad for another model of their headphones only 2 weeks after I had bought a pair. I ended up uninstalling the app, and I lost count of all the things it removed at 30. Rough guess it was around 50 little executables that were running in the background on my computer. That's just too much for my taste. YMMV
