I bought my Stihl electric push mower about two weeks ago. The mower works great love the easy start. I am however very disappointed in the battery life. I can maybe mow for 20 minutes on a charge. Battery works well with the electric lawnmowers. Gets a little warm after use. Would recommend letting it cool before re-charging. Doesn't seem to take as long to re-charge after it has cooled down a bit. Holds charge very well. Can mow my whole yard on one battery.

We use this battery for our new lawn mower. It works great. We decided it would be a good idea to have 2 of these batteries so my husband bought one today. The Stihl AK30. We were surprised that the new one was significantly lighter in weight than the original one. The rectangle light up bars are also very different looking. Can you tell me why this battery is so light and, although it's a Stihl AK30, it looks different that the original. Are they making new ones that are half the weight? I looked on your site for a sample of what ours looks like, but only could find the original battery. We're confused. It is currently charging up like normal. We're just curious why they are so different.

Bought this with reservations on how well it will perform. Having always used gas powered chainsaws, I was pleasantly surprised at how easy this chainsaw is to use. It is light and does an incredible job. Like the fact that when you take your hand off trigger, the chain stops. Will look into more of their battery operated products!
I’m so glad to have found this rascal. I’m completely satisfied. I have an electric blower but found the hassle of moving around dragging a cord time consuming and limited. Due to length. I trust the Stihl brand so wanted a battery powered one from them. I found the BGA 60 on sale so researched it and bought it. The performance is more than I expected for a battery powered version with the battery lasting longer than its rating. I’m totally satisfied!!
I bought the battery AI series chainsaw (MSA 140) and trimmer (FSA 56), plus a second battery (came 50% off in promo) about 3 months ago for building mountain biking trails in the Northeast. Wasn't sure if I'd like the less powerful AI series, but now consider them awesome tools. Why? (1) Both will run about 30-40 minutes on a charge -- all you need to cut initial 200 yard path in 4 hours (raking takes most of time); (2) Stealthy -- saw breaks down into small knapsack (wish trimmer did), and relatively quiet/light, so great for going undetected; (3) no messy gas, just bar oil. Saw has enough power to fall 6-8" trees, but because of narrow bar/chain width, best used on standing smaller stuff and blowdowns up to 12". I LIKE my new battery powered trimmer. Run time with full charge and set to economy is pretty equivalent to a full tank of gas in my gas powered Stihl trimmer…not what I’d hoped. Weight is about the same. But it is much much quieter and very convenient when starting up after a break… just pull the trigger
Everything operates as it should, however the battery life for mowing is abysmal. I have an AK30, two AK20, and one AK10 and cannot mow my averaged sized lawn on the highest mower setting, mulching, without self-propelled. It takes two days to mow the lawn because of this. One day I was able to mow the entire thing with all 4 batteries (hallelujah) but couldn't trim or blow the mess.The electric trimmer and blower have 1 too many safety switches and it's pretty cumbersome to operate all of them. It's just over-engineered and over-complicated.The trimmer line has difficulty autofeeding, so I am constantly having to stop and pull the trimmer head to adjust line.I was looking forward to the electric option so my wife could easily help as she enjoys lawn work but ... MoreEverything operates as it should, however the battery life for mowing is abysmal. I purchased a Stihl mower mostly due to the many Stihl gas products I have loved over the years. Boonsboro is not the closest to my house but saw the big outdoor display and stopped in, Made the purchase only to discover the wrong battery was issued, making another trip to get the right one. But this 5 star review is because of after service from the dealer. A Stihl ad less than a week later offered a lower price and an additional free battery (costs as much as the mower). The Dealer, without question, honored the ad and went beyond with friendly service. I highly recommend this new store. Great service!
this is the only thing i would say is that the batteries do not last long, but, you learn bytrail and error how to increase the time, for example, pushing the mower on flat straightaways and only using the self propelled system when going up hill.. this i learned gaveme more battery time.. i recommend getting 2 batteries.... i love the rma 460 self propelledmower and i give the mower 5 stars!!!!!!!!!
