Battery works well with the electric lawnmowers. Gets a little warm after use. Would recommend letting it cool before re-charging. Doesn't seem to take as long to re-charge after it has cooled down a bit. Holds charge very well. Can mow my whole yard on one battery.

I purchased the BGA 60 and it is working great. I needed a blower that was lite, quick, and easy. I tried out some competitors blowers and returned them. They just wouldn't do the job. I do have a Stihl gas blower, but definitely glad I added the battery blower for versatility!

It's my first chainsaw (I'm a 62-year-old woman) and I love it! I wear out before it does but then again, I'm 62. If you're young, get two batteries. Keep an eye on the bar oil and if the saw stops even with battery charge left, you are probably out of oil. It's lightweight enough to allow me to keep going for a long time. Wear your PPE and don't be stupid and think that "oh it's just a little chainsaw". It's a real piece of equipment and respect it.

Bought this with reservations on how well it will perform. Having always used gas powered chainsaws, I was pleasantly surprised at how easy this chainsaw is to use. It is light and does an incredible job. Like the fact that when you take your hand off trigger, the chain stops. Will look into more of their battery operated products!
I LIKE my new battery powered trimmer. Run time with full charge and set to economy is pretty equivalent to a full tank of gas in my gas powered Stihl trimmer…not what I’d hoped. Weight is about the same. But it is much much quieter and very convenient when starting up after a break… just pull the trigger
Chain. Small. Battery did not last as long as told. But it did work ok. With project I had to do. I'm also used to your gas tools. Just learning the new technology. ?? But over all not bad tool.
Everything operates as it should, however the battery life for mowing is abysmal. I have an AK30, two AK20, and one AK10 and cannot mow my averaged sized lawn on the highest mower setting, mulching, without self-propelled. It takes two days to mow the lawn because of this. One day I was able to mow the entire thing with all 4 batteries (hallelujah) but couldn't trim or blow the mess.The electric trimmer and blower have 1 too many safety switches and it's pretty cumbersome to operate all of them. It's just over-engineered and over-complicated.The trimmer line has difficulty autofeeding, so I am constantly having to stop and pull the trimmer head to adjust line.I was looking forward to the electric option so my wife could easily help as she enjoys lawn work but ... MoreEverything operates as it should, however the battery life for mowing is abysmal. Well made product of German design if not manufacture. Doesn’t really matter these days. Bought it to run a STIHL RLA 240 Scarifier and a HSA 50 Hedge trimmer as a bonus. It’s paired with a AL301 fast charger. Have used it with the Scarifier and it’s excellent no problems. I haven’t run it for extended periods the work I’m doing at the moment warrant it.Longevity? Well STIHL are used by professionals and have a good reputation for both quality and longevity? I’m confident it will meet my needs for more than few years to come.Competitive price and great delivery Service ( DX Express).
The AK30 battery offers an extended period of operation over the AK10's and I am thankful Stihl offers this option. Although heavier than the AK10, the weight of using the AK30 in my Stihl blower BGA 57 does not make operation of the blower any less user friendly. I have 2-AK10's and 1-AK-30 all of which I use to complete the blowing of leaves on my half acres of property which has many trees. If I had only a single AK-10 battery, I would not be satisfied since I could not complete the job without recharging a couple or 3 times. I probably should have purchased the commercial Stihl blower rather than the homeowner model.
this is the only thing i would say is that the batteries do not last long, but, you learn bytrail and error how to increase the time, for example, pushing the mower on flat straightaways and only using the self propelled system when going up hill.. this i learned gaveme more battery time.. i recommend getting 2 batteries.... i love the rma 460 self propelledmower and i give the mower 5 stars!!!!!!!!!
