Let me begin by saying that I'm not an avid golfer, but aspire in becoming more fundamentallly sound. This can only happen by having the right tools, and these set of clubs have become a game changer for me. For the more experienced golfer, it may be a decent set or just enough to polish their skills.

nice set of clubs for a new golfer / student. What is missing though is half the set... 12 pieces includes the two head covers, so down to 10 clubs including the putter. Tour permits 15 clubs in the bag... need some long irons and a sand wedge to go with this set.

these clubs are a great starter set for any beginner golfer. All have a great feel when you strike the ball. I will enjoy these clubs for a year until I improve my game and will want to upgrade to a different set, but for my first set they are great for the price point.

Just tried these clubs. They are my first set. I enjoyed them alot. As they are my first clubs cannot base a comparison with others but so far so good. Was able to hit balls fairly well considering my inexperience.

I found these on Ebay and they turned out to be ideal, giving me every club, iron and putter I'd need for an adequate game and get back into the swing. The bag comes with its own stand and has a pocket for everything - shoes, balls, tees, umbrella and even a brewski or two. The set is lightweight, the irons balanced, the staffs sturdy. The two large clubs - a one and a three wood - have nice embroidered covers. You can use the handle or put it on your back with duo-shoulder straps like a backpack. I am just starting out. This set was recommended as a good starter set. I used them last weekend and they had a nice feel and the ball flew better than with any other "rental" clubs I had ever used.
Good Base beginner set. Pretty easy to use. I still need alot of practise though. lightweight clubs and bag make it very easy to carry around the course. Any chance you can sell me a replacement pitching wedge? I had a series of bad shots and let the rage get to me, one semi hard smash of the pitching wedge on the turf did snap the head off.
Although sets of clubs have changed since I bought my first set. These were for my son's birthday and he was thrilled with them. They are light and easy to swing, the bag is well constructed with plenty of pockets. The putter in the picture was a little different then the one received, but it was still a good putter. I'm gonna give him one of my 3 or 4 irons, There's a lot of trees around here and a flatter faced club is how I learned to punch it out and down the fairway. I have to say it is a nice set, this coming from a guy who never used a Hybrid wood, but carry a Wooden Driver, and 3, 5, 7 & 9 metal fairway woods.
Very pleased I read reviews for starter sets and these were rated the best. After using them for 2 years I can strongly endorse them as advertised. Very good set.
can't beat it for this price. Good quality for Strata (sub brand of Callaway) and complete set with all you need to start playing. Only con would be the stand bag which is not very stable (depending on where you put your clubs) when standing upright.
