Sadly Lacked Flavour. I tried the Satay Chicken tonight for dinner as I working. The meal made me feel full and has kept me satisfied. As for the meal itself. The chicken was good, it was tender, but lacked flavour. The Satay sauce was lacking in both the amount and the flavour. The sauce really dried up with cooking for 7mins in 1000W microwave as instructed, and there could have been more sauce that would mix with the rice component. The rice component was coconut rice with coriander. Rice itself was nice, good texture, but again really lacked flavour. I actually was pretty disappointed with this meal, it really fell short on flavour, but in saying that I did feel full when I finished and it has sustained my appetite. I would not buy this meal again. I really ... MoreSadly Lacked Flavour. I tried the Satay Chicken tonight for dinner as I working. The meal made me feel full and has kept me satisfied. Shame because it's looked and smelled like it was going to be really nice. Chicken itself was the best part.

Tasty and well balanced meal. This meal is great especially for an active person or someone on a meal plan. The fact is has calories and macros on the front makes it nice and easy to track. I have this particular flavour on almost a weekly basis for lunch, and i love it. Will continue to keep buying this and other flavours from this brand.

Loved the real spice flavours. I have been buying this brand for some years (only ever on special as $9 is way too much) but have had different flavours in the past. Was surprised at how delicious this was. Real spice flavour, not the usual bottle satay flavour. The right size, kept me full for a long time but was a little dry and like others have said more chicken would of been nice. Will buy again, thanks for the sample Woolworths

Smells better than it tastes. I had this for a work lunch and it made the office smell delicious, and was disappointed that the smell didn't translate to the taste. It was pretty bland, had some satay flavour but not as much as I expected. The sauce was a bit dry, but had decent sized bits of chicken. The rice ended up a bit of a mushy mess but that's to be expected with microwave meals. Wouldn't purchase again at the recommended retail price.
Tasty but a little dry. I followed the instructions on the packet (including adjusting microwave power to that recommended) and the cooked meal ended up very dry with barely any sauce (didn't look like picture on sleeve, which shows a lot of thick sauce). It was definitely overcooked - could be an issue with my microwave (but not had any problems with anything else I've cooked recently). It was tasty though and a lot of chicken for a ready meal. And a good size for a meal for one. I did find it expensive compared to some ready meals and would likely buy again but only if on special offer.
Needs more sauce. Item was easy to find in the frozen section. Portion size was very good for a frozen meal and there was a generous amount of chicken. I cooked as per box instructions but I found this to be way too long. The sauce pretty much disappeared as it dried out so much. I think if the cooking time was less this probably wouldn't happen. As the sauce was so dry, I couldn't really stir through the rice, but the taste was very nice and it kept me full for the whole afternoon. I think if more sauce was added or the cooking times reduced it would be a great product. I would buy again if on special and just reduce the times a little.
Surprisingly ok. When I took this out of the cardboard packaging, it did not look very appealing at all. Like seriously not appealing... Like 'why is the chicken pink?' type not appealing. Keep in mind it's very shiney because of the airtight plastic seal covering it all. Instructions are super easy. Pop it in the microwave for 7 minutes on high. Then let it sit for 1 min. And finallly stir it up to make sure it's hot throughout and eat it. 7 minutes later, I peel off the plastic and it smells suspiciously nice. What is this magic? But it still didn't look very appealing, so I had my doubts. But you know what? It was actually quite yummy! A bit dry. Easy enough to find in the freezer section. @$7 each, a bit pricey for what it is. Made in Australia with only 49% Aussie ingredients. The satay sauce itself was tasty, but had dried out over the cooking process because there wasn’t enough to start with. There were three chunks of what looked like breast meat on top. Together they tasted like satay. Now, the rice. The rice was not pleasant at all. The texture was all wrong and was pretty tasteless. I had to add salt and lime to get any flavour. It was more like eating half cooked quinoa. The coconut shouldn’t have been there at all. I did not like it al all!Overall, the chicken and sauce tasted nice, it does need far more sauce, but that’s as far as it goes. I won’t buy in future unless the rice is fixed ... MoreA bit dry. Quick & easy. I found this really quick & easy for dinner when I couldn't be bothered even making a sandwich. Easy to follow instructions for microwave heating, had a nice aroma whilst heating. I was impressed with the large chunks of chicken, sauce was thick so would either like more or maybe a thinner, I did find the sauce a bit spicy but with the rice I could handle it. The rice was claggy & sticky though. I'm interested to compare this to the WW satay chicken meal I have to sample as well.
Interesting packaging. I wouldn't normally heat food inside plastic packaging in the microwave, but my curiosity got the better of me after I read the instructions. So I followed the heating instructions exactly and it turned out great. The portion size appeared small, but I did find a good amount of chicken in the delicious sauce (added a bit of soya sauce to enhance the flavour) so it turned out to be a sufficiently filling meal overall. The rice was interesting but did not have much taste on its own, unfortunately. The $9. 00 price point would deter me from buying it, but thank you Woollies for the sample.
