Sukin Deep Cleanse Shampoo 1L

I had higher hopes for this shampoo as I really like Sukin products. To be completely fair, I have a difficult hair type. EXTREMELY baby fine hair with a scalp that is worthy of strip mining for oil! Silicones actually cause dryness and they make my hair feel like straw if I use them long enough so the fact that this shampoo doesn't have any is excellent and the reason why I chose it. The smell is very subtle and pleasant, doesn't linger long on the hair at all. The reason for my disappointment is in the consistency of the shampoo, it is soooooo runny. Seriously, it is not much thicker than water. I have tried shaking it to make sure nothing has settled but to no avail. As far as performance goes, it works well enough. I only get 2 days out of it before I have to wash again, other brands I will get 3 days. On the plus side, my hair is smooth and shiny after using it, no dryness or frizzy hair at all. This is the first shampoo that controls my frizzy fine long hair without having to use ANY other products on top of it. You also HAVE to shampoo twice, the first time it will barely foam up at all. The second shampoo is more foamy and I leave it on for a minute and then massage it through my scalp again to make sure all oil has dissolved and gets washed away. I've only been using it for 3 weeks now and will use it up but will try the Akin Purifying shampoo next to compare. If it works as well as this but has a better consistency then I will definitely prefer it. If you have oily hair this is definitely worth trying.

A gentle cleanse for silky, shiny hair.

I read about how products with vinegar in can help, and found this product in Boots which, for such a large bottle, is at a great price. I was a little worried it would dry out my hair as it's primarily designed for oily hair and my hair was so brittle and dry, but I needn't have worried. It cleansed gently without stripping my hair, and the results were unreal. It left it incredibly silky, shiny and heavy. It hasn't felt this good in years!! ACV is the secret ingredient!

I really wasn't expecting much from this shampoo however I've been pleasantly surprised. I suffer from a very oily scalp and I had to wash my hair daily as I couldn't ever leave the house with greasy looking hair. this product has Apple Cider Vinegar to remove product build-up, excess oils & pollutants without stripping the scalp. Since using this I now wash my hair 3 times a week. It's brilliant, my hair is shiny and finally looking healthy!! It has taken a few weeks to get to this stage but continuous use I feel that my hair will be at the best stage. Amazing Product

Thank you Sukin - this product is seriously amazing. For about 3 months straight I was dealing with this problem where oil was building up at the back of my scalp, it would never dry properly and I would have to wash my hair daily. This finally got rid of that buildup and now my hair is so fresh and light even a couple days after washing. Shampoo is watery but no issue as long as you cup your hand. Smells nice, natural ingredients and price is seriously amazing, 5/5.

I honestly thought this would cost more than it does. It's great quality, you get a good amount, the bottle is easy to open. The shampoo itself is quite liquid in consistency though, so take care when pouring into your hand! Great refreshing fragrance and organic too!

I have never heard of the Sukin brand before but as I'm a sucker for all things Australian I was excited to try this product. Vegan and Carbon Neutral, the product has good environmental credentials and it's a good sized bottle for the price.The fragrance is Native Deep River Mint and Apple Cider vinegar and the minty smell is lovely and refreshing - and "clean" smelling!I did find the product quite runny so had to be careful that too much didn't come out of the bottle. The first time I used the product I probably used too much as the runny consistency paired with the relatively low foam level meant the shampoo disappeared into my hair. The second time I used it I rubbed the shampoo between my hands before applying to my hair and this helped. I think because the product doesn't contain sodium laurel sulfate, it's less bubbly than my usual shampoo. As a result of this it was hard to tell if I'd got my hair really clean or not - I'm going to use less shampoo gradually as I get used to less foam until I work out the optimum level!Overall I am pleased with the shampoo - my hair is very clean after using it and it smells lovely. I would prefer it if it was a bit thicker and foamier but I think this may impact on the environmental credentials. I think we're conditioned (excuse the pun!) to expect a head full of bubbles but it's not essential! I would mainly recommend this for the gorgeous scent and the fact it's organic and cruelty free at a reasonable price.

I'm a big fan of Sukin and have used their products for years, but found that after moving to a hard water area their haircare did nothing for me any more (possibly due to the fact they leave out the harsher surfactants), but this range is a gift!It leaves my hair soft, shiny, manageable and fresh, without feeling stripped. It does give a squeaky clean feeling, which I love. My hair is fine and gets greasy quickly.It is a runnier consistency but that's no real grievance when it works so well. I've removed one star because of the fragrance - most other Sukin products have a signature Sukin smell, this doesn't. It's on the verge of being a bit bathroom cleaner-y, but I would still use it despite this because of the results it gives.

Has the texture of water, very difficult to control out of the bottle and you will use twice as much as other "thicker" gel type shampoos. Lathers better on second application. On the UP side, it smells lovely, not like a generic Hippy geranium bomb but a lovely floral scent that is light and doesn't last too long on the hair. Has no silicone in it to dry out fine hair. Silicone dries out my fine oily hair and makes it frizzy and dry like straw after a couple of weeks of use. No danger of that here though. Overall it is a decent shampoo for oily hair, leave it clean and shiny but it's the watery texture that lost me. I’m not often super excited about shampoo or conditioner but this line has really impressed me. For such a reasonable price point, this shampoo is really nice to use and does the job well. There’s a very subtle fresh scent (think along the lines of tea tree) but nothing too overwhelming and it feels nice and clean. The product lathers nicely but doesn’t go too foamy, and it is the nicest clarifying shampoo I’ve used so far because it doesn’t feel like it’s really stripping your hair of everything including the nice oils that you do want to retain. I’d say it’s cleansing but also nourishing and keeps in some moisture. I’ve found my hair can stay less greasy for maybe a day longer than usual, which is pretty impressive for someone with oily hair. After trying many natural shampoos and always being disappointed, I didn't have high expectations. My hair and scalp does not like conventional shampoos, I've always had an issue with irritated scalp that always felt like i had product build up, and dull frizzy hair and thought this was how my hair will always be.
