I've always struggled with oily prone skin and in sheer desperation last year I decided to switch up my skin care routine in order to finally combat the shine. I was browsing the skincare section at Priceline during one of their 40% sales when I noticed that Sukin had released a new line - their Oil Balancing line. I picked up the entire line and haven't looked backed since! This toner is very different to other ones I have tried before, my favourites including the classic Witch Hazel toner and Lush's Tea Tree Water spray. Instead of irritated my skin like these toners, often leaving my skin red and excessively dry, it instead left my skin feeling clean and hydrated. The scent of the toner is a fresh natural scent to it that isn't overpowering like some botanical ... MoreI've always struggled with oily prone skin and in sheer desperation last year I decided to switch up my skin care routine in order to finally combat the shine. Instead of irritated my skin like these toners, often leaving my skin red and excessively dry, it instead left my skin feeling clean and hydrated. The scent of the toner is a fresh natural scent to it that isn't overpowering like some botanical fragrances can be. I use it after cleansing my skin with the oil-balancing charcoal cleanser in this line and apply it with a soaked cotton pad to my face in a sweeping motion. I then follow up with the oil-balancing mattifying moisturiser - but you can use any moisturizer that works with your skin if you don't have particularly oily skin like me. After using this toner I have definitely seen my pores become less noticeable. The only con I can think of for this product is that I found that I'm going through it pretty quickly as you don't get a whole heap of product. I'm not particularly sure if it's aided in the reduction of my oiliness or whether it's just in conjuction with the rest of the products in the line. However, this is a minor complaint for a product that I've really enjoyed using so far. \nOverall, I think that this is a really affordable, cruelty free natural toner that works really well with oily skin types - but i can't see why it wouldn't also work with all skin types. So, if you're in the market for a new toner I'd definitely recommend picking this one up!\n

I see so many positive reviews for this product, but for me the smell was the only positive thing!\nIt burned my skin, on contact with swiping a cotton pad, I felt a strange flush that lasted quite a few hours! I persisted for a few weeks, leaving a break of a day or two in between hoping to build my tolerance up.. but nada!\nThe bottle has a typical toner opening and you can squeeze more product out if you like! The smell is definitely strange, but I loved it! It also felt like it left a film on my skin, not like most toners do when they soak in! I used the rest of it on my chest before going to bed, just for a cleaner feel.. it also didn't break me out!\nI would recommend anyone struggling to find a toner to give it a go, given there's many great reviews, but also ... MoreI see so many positive reviews for this product, but for me the smell was the only positive thing!\nIt burned my skin, on contact with swiping a cotton pad, I felt a strange flush that lasted quite a few hours! If your skin is oily like mine then this toner is for you. I highly recommend Sukin products as they’re all natural, they’re an Australian brand, they’re cruelty free and they don’t contain any harsh chemicals so you can feel good about using their products. I would pour the toner on a cotton ball and then wipe it across my face to remove the excess oil and balance out my skin. It would leave my skin feeling clean without making it dry or tight. The pineapple, licorice and lime peel would help brighten my skin which was great as I have uneven skin with some light pigmentation from acne. My skin looked a lot healthier and I found that my skin wouldn’t get as oily as before. Being more of a combination skin I’ve grown up using a toner as part of my daily skincare routine.\nLately I feel like there are so many different oil balancing products out there and it can be a bit confusing as to what brand to use and why.\nThere’s so much to love about this product.\nPros- \nthe scent; it doesn’t have that alcohol smell to it that makes your eyes tingle when you open the bottle. I find it quite calming and pleasant.\nApplicator; I generally tip all of my toners in to a pump dispenser I have, but this ones still great. No over pour of product and goes straight into the cotton pad not your counter.\nFeel; this oil balancing toner doesn’t irritate my skin especially if I have an open pimple, when some can have that bring a tear to your eyes ... MoreBeing more of a combination skin I’ve grown up using a toner as part of my daily skincare routine.\nLately I feel like there are so many different oil balancing products out there and it can be a bit confusing as to what brand to use and why.\nThere’s so much to love about this product.\nPros- \nthe scent; it doesn’t have that alcohol smell to it that makes your eyes tingle when you open the bottle. I love the sukin range and this oil balancing clarifying facial tonic is a winner for me. I have sensitive skin and this doesnt irritate. I also have an oily tzone and the tonic balances this and soaks up unwanted oil and the effects really last. This product removes every last trace of dirt, grime, oil and impurities, my skin always looks and feels super clean, clear and soft when I use this. It has a really fresh, clean natural scent that is really pleasant and its so easy to use, I apply it with a cotton pad or ball after cleansing. It closes and refines pores and feels really refreshing. Its great value and lasts for ages. It leaves a nice matte finish for my makeup or alternatively, just a super clean face at night before applying moisturiser. I love all Sukin products and could not recommend any of them highly enough! The Description/ name of the product is a clear indicator to what it will do. I have been using Sukin for two years and have never had a problem with it! I use their products every single day. For any questions add my Snapchat and message me!! Snapchat: miikalah_paiige
I've been using this tonic for 2 months and I love it.I first wash my face withThenAfter that I use the tonic, I fee my skin so fresh and relaxed.I finish my night facial care with the moisturiser from the same brand! (That I couldn't find here.)This is a super combo! I'd definitely recommend you to use all of them together for a better result. But I started just by buying the moisturiser and I end up with the whole pack of face care. The price is affordable and it's all organic!!! Perfect for me, vegetarian and looking forward to become vegan.
I love this affordable clarifying toner. It’s really refreshing, especially in the summer. It doesn’t have a pump or spray dispenser, so it’s like splashing cool water on your face, and you only need a small amount. It has a subtle, natural scent that reminds me of birch sap! When I finished my first bottle, I bought two more.
I absolutely love this! I have very oily skin and I find this helps control the oiliness throughout the day. I use this with the mattifying facial moisturiser and the purifying gel cleanser and it helps my skin so much. I even apply this of a morning and sometimes forget to use the moisturiser and it works wonders. The texture feels great and it takes the shine away immediately.
I Love this toner. Really deep cleanses skin and removes traces of dirt from surface of skin. Followed with a good organic moisturiser. Perfect!
