No packaging to protect the product during delivery. Flimsy box and egg shell casing not protective. Excessive vibration of the whole unit from the first run. Product worked for one day then would not grind any smaller than chilli flakes. Return process bad, stated they'd take a look and send it back to me, which would take too long and not solve the problem. Poor packaging left product vulnerable to damage, poor customer service.

the provided container does not seal against the outlet consequently, fine coffee grounds go everywhere, very messy and this is if you hold the container right up to the outlet. It needs to be regularly shaken whilst grinding as the beans don't tend to flow. Also it really should also have a timer. i appreciate its not high end but my previous grinder was cheaper and worked better

Worked fine when it worked but each time burrs cleaned out, seemed to get worse when grinding beans after that. Therefore product hasn't even lasted for 2 years - quite disappointing really! And Target only gives a 12 mth warranty! Not good value for money!

I bought this Sunbeam Conical Burr Grinder a few weeks ago and just love it. It is so easy to use and makes coffee grinding a breeze and very quick. I love that you can just fill your group handle straight from the coffee grinder in a few seconds and then you are ready to use in your coffee machine. It saves time and gives you more consistency with your grind. I would recommend it.
Absolutely do not regret buying this product. You really notice the difference between freshly ground coffee and store-ground coffee. Ignore the manual which tells you that you can grind expresso on '12'. Once we worked out that should be '4' it was much better. A bit of 'overspray' - particularly if you grind directly in the 'portafilter' - more easily known as the thing that you put the ground coffee into' - you can avoid this to a degree by using the provided container - but then you are double handling. Overall - a consistent grind, simple to use, makes a huge difference to taste and on the lower end of the grinder prices. What more could you ask for.
I've just replaced a previous model after 10+ years, little different from the current one. If you want to make use of a domestic espresso machine of your own, or a plunger coffee maker, etc, this is really the only way to grind coffee beans properly to the degree of fineness you want. It grinds quickly and well, straight into my espresso-machine head, so I can order beans in bulk and still have freshly-ground coffee every time. The instructions for use are straightforward. Just be prepared for the need to care for it properly, like any quality appliance - it needs cleaning about once a fortnight (or, say, every kilo of coffee ground) which takes may about 15 min. and can be a bit messy with some inevitable spill of ground coffee.
I'm a proud loud coffee snob and wanted to buy this machine to take overseas where I work and didn't expect much given the price as so many 'good' grinders go for twice or three times as much. Well happy to be proved wrong. Grinder works perfectly, grinding really really well. In fact I have no complaints. I hope it lasts but as long as it goes past two years I will have felt I got my money's worth. Highly recommend for the price of AUD $180.
I loved the simplicity of this grinder. It ground the beans really well and it was easy to clean. It was very messy though. After grinding there were coffee grounds all over the counter top, but after changing to another container than the one provided, it got better. Unfortunately, it stopped working after about a month of using it. I called Sunbeam support who were very helpful and processed a replacement on the spot.
The Burr grinder gets used about once a day depending on how many coffees I make. The grinder is always at hand because you never quite know when you need to grind more coffee beans.The grinder is a Sunbeam product as is my Coffee machine.My first Sunbeam grinder I purchased @ Myer Marion.This year I needed a new Sunbeam so I went to Myer Marion to purchase a new one. There was a minor Hiccup but it was resolved very quickly thanks to the Myer staff that were serving me.All in All it was a good experience. well done Myer Marion.Kind regardsDavid Childs
I think i can write a review for this grinder because i have it for over 7 years. I am using it every day and never have any trouble with. I got it when I bought my first coffee machine as a package. When i bought a second Sunbeam coffee machine I got a new sunbeam grinder as a package as well, but from the start you could see that quality is not even close to this one. I had to return everything back to store for a couple of reasons. I bought again a new coffee machine and I still have this grinder that i am very happy with and I would recommend it to everyone.
