Have now mastered this. Key is don’t add more then one scoop of ground coffee! Also fill JUST to the water marker line, not a drop more. Excess coffee and or water doesn’t result in stronger coffee, but rather just wasted coffee grounds and excess new time. As for the ice I fill 3/4 to the ice line and it’s perfect! I only need to add a dash of soy milk to transform it the perfect strong ice coffee. It honestly takes just a few minutes, not long at all really. I think if you over fill the coffee and or water that makes it take excessive time. I will use this all year round.

The Sunbeam Iced Coffee Machine is perfectly for a cold coffee on a hot day. Using this is easy all it takes is a scoop of ground coffee and water in the top and it brews. The brewed coffee then can be poured over lots of ice and topped up with coffee. It gives me my favourite coffee in another way and perfect for home.

My 20 year old son is a big fan of iced coffee so he is loving having access to this machine at home. I don’t mind it sitting on the kitchen bench either as it’s a nice sleek design and gloss black in colour. It’s very easy to use and I love the recipe book, it has some great ideas. Would definitely recommend

This is exactly what I needed it to be. Living alone I don't need a huge coffee machine or lots of dishes. The reusable cup makes sure my iced coffee is low on dishes but still delicious. Would suck if I lived with someone and had to make more than one tho hahaha
As Dorothea Mackellar said, "I love a sunburnt country..." And nothing goes better with a sunburnt country than Sunbeam Iced Coffee Machine. I gave this to my sister as a gift and her and her husband and their two little babies are loving it. From Iced Espressos. To Cold Mochas and Freezochinos. As a family that love a cafe style coffee, they seem to be spending a little less time at hipster cafe's and a lot more time around the kitchen bench top. If you want a nice ice cold cold pick me up then you'll need to pick this one up!
It is difficult to clean the brewing pot due to deep plastic ribs inside. The only way to effectively clean the brewing pot is with a brush you can not physically wipe it out. The non drip tap only worked for two days before it started dripping. It works well except for these faults.
The Sunbeam Iced Coffee Machine (SDP1000BK) is a compact machine that makes brewing your iced coffee at home a breeze! Perfect for iced coffees, and I enjoyed that it comes with a recipe book to expand your iced coffee options. The tumbler feels very sturdy and is double walled to keep your iced coffee cool. Great product for summer iced coffees!
I love this machine. I know it's basically a glorified kettle but it does make things easier. The coffee scoop is way too big, but after a few experiments and adjustments i found the way to do it for my liking. It has paid for itself already in regards to buying prepackaged iced coffee.
Used this a few times now and it makes a pretty great brew. Biggest downside is remembering to have enough ice cubes ready to go to cool things down if you're after iced coffee. But the real plus for me is that it brews a hot fast drip filter style coffee (American style, which I love), so it doubles as an actual coffee machine (if you're prepared to wait 4 minutes). An absolute bargain for the price. Only does one cup at a time, but hey.
Have had the machine for about a month now and have made a couple of iced coffees. Personally I am more of a fan of espresso shot coffee, but if you are a fan of drip style coffee then this is the machine for you as it can double as a normal coffee machine if you don't put the ice in! I would recommend putting it more than one scoop if you are used to the strength of the typical Aussie cafe coffee.
