I bought this mixer and seriously wish I'd purchased a more expensive, higher quality model and will be doing so shortly. This mixer is extremely loud and the low setting is faster than the medium on many mixers. It jumps to a high speed at the start and then slows down a bit but then races as you move up the speed. Food hits the wall if you aren't really careful. So disappointing.

I used the product once to beat my egg and sugar and I turned it off, and when I tried to turn it on again, it didn’t work! it didn’t turn on! I tried to switch the power but still no hope! I ordered this through a click and collect at Melbourne CBD, and when I got there asking for return, they didn’t accept it! even when i showed them a proof faulty video. They asked me to contact customer service and I ended up returned it through AU Post. The first time I was very disappointed buying at MYER.

Disappointed: do not buy - I bought 2, one for my daughter and one for me - cheap and flimsy, doesn't mix evenly, only able to use it as a hand mixer and even then the attachments are lo quality. Balloon wisks scrape the bottom of the bowl too much and the cake mix attachments not enough. The flimsy dough hooks look like they would bend. Such a waste of money and my husband threw out the box before I used it because it was recycling pick up ... so I can't return but will return the one I bought for my daughter. Shame on Subbeam and Myer for stocking this rubbish.
The manual is wrong re the beaters being the same and going in any slot! They are totally different and you will break the unit if you try and out them in either slot as the manual says. Sunbeam customer service refuse to look into this and just give a generic reply….the manual says the beaters are the same and can go in either slot! Customer service is done by non English people who have no idea of the products, never buy again.
I bought this so I didn’t have to pull out the big mixmaster just to whip cream from the Xmas pav. Not only did Myer deliver faster than expected the week of Xmas, it’s a nifty little mixer with ample power for the job that fits in its own storage container. Fantastic for keeping the cupboards tidy.
I have always trusted Sunbeam Mixmaster as my mixer (have had the previous one for 20 years of baking). I thought I would upgrade with latest hand held mixer and found myself back to a Mixmaster as so reliable and am impressed with latest storage setup. Looking forward to many more years of baking with my faithful Mixmaster !
Useless. Worked for 5 minutes then died on me completely. It didn't burn out or overheat - just stopped dead in the middle of a mix the very first time I tried it. Waited for hours to see if it was a timeout or other temporary glitch - nada.At least the store agreed I got a lemon and refunded. But not happy with the lack of quality.
I have had a Sunbeam Mixmaster Hand Mixer for many years so when I damaged the beaters on my existing mixer, I was delighted to find I was able to replace it with a similar Sunbeam appliance. However my new one is even better - it comes in a very convenient storage case which makes it easy to store upright in the cupboard saving space. And it has dough hooks as well as beaters giving it an extra function. The hand mixer is so easy to grab for a quick mixing job, it has various speeds and the clean-up is so simple. Loved my old Sunbeam Hand mixer - love my new one even more!
An exceptional little hand mixer. I did get it on the Black Friday sale so incredible discount, but Id be happy to pay the full price. Its a good, strong, basic little machine which stores away in its own little container.
