I have had a glass kettle before this purchase and was open to purchasing another glass kettle. So when i saw this particular one on the shelf I thought I would like to purchase it. The Kettle looks very smart and being grey and glass suited my kitchen decor. Unfortunately while looking smart on my bench top the pouring spout is terrible. It does not pour cleanly or not in an even flow and when wanting to pour water into a narrow opening container the water goes everywhere. I only give this kettle 2 stars because of this and very disappointed.

Had this kettle for 18 months. After about 6 months the glass loses its nice opaque-ness and appears rather stained. It is regularly cleaned but the stains cannot be removed.Stainless steel, although brushed, is very thin and of poorer quality than expected, which is apparent as the surface blotches and always looks smeared. However all these are aesthetic issues. The real problem is that near the top of the handle and inside the kettle, the plastic that holds the handle to the glass body cracked. This in turn doesn't allow the lid to close property and water spills all over the place when pouring freshly boiled water. The crack widened to a point where I was concerned the body of the kettle was going to separate from the handle. It was binned after ... MoreHad this kettle for 18 months. After about 6 months the glass loses its nice opaque-ness and appears rather stained. The Sunbeam 1.7 Litre Morning Frost Glass Kettle KE6200 is a replacement for the previous defunct Sunbeam Maestro Dual Wall Glass Kettle KE9750 that died in less than 2 years. This is a single person household so it is not as though the defunct Sunbeam Maestro Dual Wall Glass Kettle KE9750 was overworked! In fact the previous Sunbeam Maestro Dual Wall Glass Kettle KE9750 was another replacement for the previous similar Sunbeam model..... which begs the question about reliability and quality of Sunbeam kettles, heyThe Sunbeam and Good Guys websites both say the Sunbeam 1.7 Litre Morning Frost Glass Kettle KE6200 is 2400 watts which is incorrect and misleading. In fact it is only 2200 watts. 2200 watts is actually printed on the box and on the Kettle itself. After purchase I wrote to Sunbeam about this misleading information on their website and received a templated blah response.... ie we don't care, no responsibility, blah blah blah. I see that they still continue with this sham on the Sunbeam and Good Guys websites. Why is this important Obviously the higher the wattage the quicker the appliance will come to the boil. So, in fact, Sunbeam 1.7 Litre Morning Frost Glass Kettle KE6200 is quite slow to boil, taking from room temperature to boiling cutoff over 5.5 minutes. On the upside, the Sunbeam 1.7 Litre Morning Frost Glass Kettle KE6200 looks good and is also a 1.7 litre capacity kettle but is a different shape, more squat-like and not as tall as the previous Maestro model. The Morning Frost Glass Kettle KE6200 is also significantly lighter than the previous model meaning that, when full to capacity, it is much easier to lift and pour. It does not splash boiling water everywhere either as did the previous Maestro model, so that's a plus!I am hopeful this one lasts a bit longer than the previous Maestro model which I do not recommend at all.On notice to Sunbeam, this is now the third kettle I've had in the past 5 years. You will be hearing from me if it doesn't last. After all it is not rocket science in that it is only a jug, an element and power table... not rocket science and can't see why they all seem to have built in obsolescence. 4 stars because I do like the shape, the frosted glass and easier to lift and pour.

Makes water boil ok, but when you pour it spills quite a lot. Aesthetically, I liked the frosted look but when I took it home I discovered that my kids don't. They like to see exactly what's going on inside. Since the advent of OnlyFans people don't seem to like mystery any more.
Love the look of this kettle with a blue light surrounding the bottom. Adds a bit of colour to my kitchen. The jug has a small plastic filter in the spout, i think the jug would pour a bit better if the plastic was removed however still love my new jug. Very happy.
Great kettle, better than one with a cut-out water level. Those tend to leak after a few years. The glass is pretty thick and the frosting makes fingerprints and future scuffs unnoticeable. Boils pretty quick and has a filter with metal mesh, I'm hoping that will last longer than our previous kettle. It had plastic mesh and we ended up drinking that over the course of a few years. It pours without spilling and holds a descent 1.7L of water.
Very good looking and easy to use kettle. But unfortunately, the lid stopped opening after about 4 months. The kids wouldn't open even if the button was pressed multiple times. We had to use our fingernails to pry the lid open.Returned it to Myer who gave us the refund.
Kettle works ok, it boils water. However due to its broad base means you have to put a lot of water in it just to boil one cup of tea so not. economical. The gauze in the pouring spout means it splutters and splatters so. It not pleasant and you more or less have to tip upside down to get the water out. My no advise is go to Target pay half the price and probably end up with a better product. BTW can’t scroll back to check review so apologies for any typos.
The kettle looks nice and boils water fine. I was looking for one that had as little plastic touching the boiling water as possible, so went with this glass option. The pouring spout is on the top of the lid so you have to really tip it to pour the water out, and then it's quite a wide pour. I haven't had any issues pouring into a mug, but if you have wrist issues or are trying to pour into a smaller mouthed vessel you might find it difficult.
The KE6200 is well made, however the pouring spout is too small in my opinion. The first cup pours well when full, however the remaining cups is where the issue arises. If you are pouring into a tea pot it is OK to use. The opaque glass is good for visibility when filling and also to see if any bugs crawled into it. When the kettle boils the blue light goes out which is good in case you don't hear the switch click off.
