Sunday Riley A+ High Dose Retinoid Serum

This is the start of my 2nd bottle, the first bottle I received in a subscription, after using it every other night with no irritation I added it to my nightly skincare regimen, using it on my entire face but targeting my forehead lines that were becoming more prominent. The glass pump bottle makes it easy to control getting the perfect dose without wasting any product. The formula is a light weight serum that looks like a lotion but applies as a serum. when applied it dries fairly fast, leaving my face feeling smooth without any stickiness. Since I am not new to the whole retinol thing, I like to use this serum every night as part of my nighttime skincare routine. I apply a pump or two to clean, dry skin and follow with a hydrating moisturizer. I haven't used this product long enough to notice any major changes but I did notice some. Within a few days of using this product, I noticed that my skin looked clearer, smoother and more radiant. I've also noticed that I haven' been breaking out as much. When I do breakout, I only get a small bump or two and they usually disappear on their own within two days or less. The best part about using this serum is that I didn't experience any peeling, redness or irritation even though I use it on daily basis, so I can comfortably recommend this serum to those who tend to stay away from retinol-based products due to their side effect. At this time, I can't vouch for the anti-aging aspect of this serum, as I don't currently have any wrinkles on my face, but I can vouch for everything else that it promises to correct.

It actually calmed and reduced the redness in my cheeks. The biggest take away I had from using was how fast it cleared up stressed skin and kept my complexion clear. I don’t consider myself to be acne-prone but infertility drugs will cause you to be and this help tremendously with that. Biggest CON is that I did not see any improvement, after 2 bottles, with fine lines and wrinkles. I would recommend this for those with mature, dry, normal, combination, and acne prone skin. If you have sensitive skin you could try it with the sandwich technique, moisturizer-retinoid-moisturizer, but it could still be irritating. A plus for everything except for the price

I first received a mini sized tube of the A plus serum in the Space NK 2021 advent calendar and was impressed enough to have since then bought a travel size within a Sunday Riley trial set. After using 20ml of this product, I would gladly use it in the future as well, but the price feels quite salty. As for the light yellow coloured serum itself, the consistency feels light and the product treats my skin gently. I am not a particularly seasoned retinol user yet, but could easily apply this serum consistently every night (often consecutively with the Sunday Riley Luna Sleeping Retinoid Night Oil) without any negative side effects. Amazing! but oily skin beware.

I love this product so much. It is NOT a beginner retinol but it is gloriously effective. People complain about the smell, but I like my actives to smell like actives and this formulation is really strong so that comes with the territory and I don't mind. The only reason I am not repurchasing this repeatedly for the rest of my life is the oil in it. It does cause congestion and has a bit of any oily finish. If you have dryer skin and need the extra moisturizing oil this is your hero product. But like most Sunday Riley, this is not for oily, oily-ish, or acne prone skin. It clears up my hormonal breakouts, but overall is too much for my trouble areas. I am honestly heartbroken because I love this product so much.

Great For Beginners and Transiting to Intermediate

Personally, Ive passed beginner and intermediate a long time ago and wanted to try this. I wonder whats the rave all about. So far, it didnt irritate my skin and I think its gentle enough for sensitive skin too. This retinol percentage I believed is between 0.5%-0.6%. Its soo gentle it makes my skin soft. I have combo skin - literally oily tzone but this doesnt make my skin any oilier. But because its so gentle, my pores inproved for abit, hasnt seen any great impact just yet. Got a long way to go till I finish this and prolly go for other brands with higher percentage. Price wise doeant matter to me cuz I planned alot to make own savings for skincare. Hee!

Seems to be working!

I have been using this for about a month now, and somewhat to my surprise, it seems to be making a difference. I've been using retinoids for years--decades!--and I think it's one of the best things I've done for myself. I've shifted back and forth from a drug-store version to several different higher-end products, though, and haven't noticed any significant difference between them, so the drugstore version has been the one I've relied on the most. I decided to try the Sunday Riley serum because it was on sale, the reviews were promising, and I was in the mood to experiment once again--and I'm glad I did. Nothing has had much effect on them, until I tried this serum. The big vertical lines are still there, but they seem less deep (though more red for some reason; I don't know what's going on there as there doesn't seem to be any irritation). The lip lines are noticeably less visible, and that made my whole mouth look less pursed and so a bit fuller. This stuff is expensive, but it may be worth it. I'm certainly happy with it so far.

I purchased this in December and have been using consistently since then. I was using a lower strength retinol from another brand prior to using this. I feel that this product has been the only topical product that I have used to truly make a visible difference in my skin. I don't suffer from acne and I am more interested in anti ageing benefits being 47.Having used this product for 4 months my skin appears clear, my pores are practically invisible, my skin feels bouncier and overall just appears glowier if that makes sense.
