Super Sculpey Living Doll Clay 1lb Beige

If your starting out know a few things. It must be worked with clean hands on a very clean surface. It will pick up all kinds off dirt and dust. It must be worked until it's very warm. I will go crumbly and hard and break. If over baked you will notice small discs form in the polymer and become brittle. Use a timer and do not go over thickness. You can color it with standard doll pigments but you must use Pebeo clear matte bakeable media for it to stick. Dolls made from this are not playwithable. And will degrade if placed near sunlight.

Great Quality

For years I used regular Super Sculpey in my creations, and recently I read reviews of different polymer clays, and I was convinced to try the Living Doll after seeing comparisons from other artists. My sculpts have never looked better. It's somewhat firm, which took some getting used to, but now that I've gotten the hang of it, it is great for avoiding dimples and dents in my work. It bakes evenly with fewer scorches, and blends nicely with Premo for different colors. I'm so happy I switched to it, and I feel more confident that my art is more durable for buyers.

Great for anatomical life-like parts.

Our studio makes small anatomical body parts for sculptures. This works great for us. Its pliable, and finishes strong. Its the ONLY polymer we use for our products.

Great for making a sculpture to be used as the be

Tomorrow is the one year anniversary of the the passing of a pet Capuchin monkey. My friends were devastated. To them she was like a child. So I decided to do something that has never been done. So I am creating a life sized replica of her with the Sculpt Doll clay to make a statue which will be used to make a mold so I can make a "reborn" doll. I am also making her teeth and tongue hanging out as she loved to be tickled and she would grab her tummy and giggle tongue hanging out. Then I will install every hair on her body. I hope to have her done in six months. I will then get on a plane and deliver "Izzy" to them in person. I couldn't have done it without the Living Doll clay! Thank You sculpy!8

Great product

Make sure you have the right color of living doll. There are subtle differences in the colors. Great product like all Sculpey products.

In love with Living Doll clay

I bought Living Doll clay in the baby hue. I LOVE this clay! I've been trying to sculpt figures and was becoming frustrated. Decided to try Living Doll. Oh my goodness what a difference. It is ready to use right out of the package with just a little massaging. It blends so well yet holds the finest of details. The right clay has a huge impact when sculpting.

I love this product! I am able to create my dolls, give them personality, manipulate them anyway I think up, and can save them forever after baking. The clay is easy to manipulate, easy to smooth out, and I wont use any other product. 10 Stars!!!

Translucent property of living doll makes it unique

What I like about living doll is the translucent quality of it compared to other sculpey products. It almost glows in good lighting and while it's not as durable as cosclay there's something about that glow that brings life to a sculpture

nice soft polymer clay, easy to smooth but tough on detail

for someone who does a lot of small scale sculpture, this brand of polymer is very nice and easy to use. it smooths and blends easily with other polymer clays. the flesh tones are accurate. the only downside to this clay is that it is VERY soft which can impact the amount of detail you can achieve, but is easily solved by leeching the clay on paper for a day.

very finicky, broke often

I used it for a simple sculpture of a character and had high hopes for it, seeing the good reviews on this websitep. Although it was soft and kept the detail, when I baked it, pieces immediately fell apart. I made sure to keep the thickness around a 1/4th of an inch thick, however once baked most pieces fell off, such as the head, forearm and feet. If I was making smaller sculptures or practice sculptures, I might buy this clay again, but I wouldn't reccomend making anything too big or putting too much detail in them due to the fragile nature of the clay.
