I bought a 8 camera system for our new store. The last system we bought for a branch in Christchurch was a Concrrrrrrd!!! system which was an absulute NIGHTMARE to install and only to find that we cannot view online on our desktop. I must mention, we sent 10 emails to Concrrrrrd!!! support and got Z E R O response. So it was ripped out and thrown in the trash. This 8 camera Swann is just amazing! It took 20min to add this to our devices online and setup on our mobiles. I cant believe how easy it is. Why Concrrrrrd!!! sells CCTV systems when Swann is light years more advanced, is curious to say the least. Thanks you so much Swann, your product is just incredible.

I order this additional camera to have for a replacement if one of my cameras fail. The problem is I am unable to disconnect the base from the camera for installation. I am very happy with the Swann 4575dvr, just don't know why I can't disconnect the base. Read the instruction several times and still the same problem.

I needed a new camera to replace my old 720 camera with existing bnc wire. I already knew a 5mp camera will not work perfectly with the existing bnc wire. I tried this 1080p camera, with old bnc and it worked fine. Price is good. At first there were vertical lines in the camera display but it eventually went away, not sure what that was.

In my previous review I stated the only thing wrong with the 2 cameras was they would not go into night vision mode. Called Swan support and they said camera was not compatible with my Swan DVR. Wrong. Got reply from online review here saying it is settings in DVR. Wrong. I figured out only the light sensor in the camera decides if it is dark enough to go into IR mode. Not the DVR settings. I figured IR mode is a higher power requirement and my 2 new cameras are on a standard 60 foot Siamese cable and an 200 foot Swan extension Siamese cable located in my horse barn which was working with 2 720 res Swan cameras for 2 years. To test possible power issue I attached the provided 120vac to 12vdc power adapter to power in the barn and plugged it directly into camera. This camera does its job and is strong and sturdy, built well and packaged consistently well, as I bought two separately, added them to my DVR. Read and research before you buy, don't leave fake reviews. This one is hooked up by a BNC cable to a DVR and has a power plug and adapter to power up. They've been working outside my house for approximately for a year now, no problems, nice clear pictures. If you want more detail and better zoom go 4k or place cameras closer to the road for e.g to get number plates, speeding cars and motorbikes in suburban streets at night, parks next door, etc. Has deterred neighborhood hooligans and thieves. Two things they don't like are 1. CCTV cameras streaming to the cloud storage. 2. Police.
Camera works great, sets up easy and connects to your account quickly. You can even zoom in, talk through it and view what is going on from your phone. The battery charge does not last 2 weeks as it states but rather 4 days if there is movement all the time, it only last that long if nothing at all moves for days at a time. I suggest buying the charge stand to go with it, allowing to move it somewhere else and charge while it still watches the room.
This is a very good security camera. When you receive it, you get the security camera, the security camera cable, and some documentation including stickers. The picture quality is very good as well. I have an older Swann security camera and the picture quality is not as good as this one. The security camera is also very easy to install

Not compatible with my Defender DVR. Best Buy product description not accurate. On Best Buy description, camera supposed to be 105 degree wide angle but only 85 degree. Should mention that this camera is not compatible with other brands to avoid confusion.
This camera was purchased as a supplemental camera to be mated with a Swann DVR8 4575 recording unit. It came provided with 60 feet of cable and a dedicated power source. It is a sturdy aluminum-cased camera with standard bnc and power connectors. The color picture quality is excellent in daylight and very good in nighttime(infra-red).
