I compare this service to ATT horribleWaiting on the phone for probably 30 minutes plusRequested the callback option and nothing.I have 1 camera started flickering offline and on againSystem is about 4 weeks old new from Sams.So today the camera is very dark compared to the other during the day.I’ll know more later tonight.You can see the difference between the two same camera.Outside of this camera and service the system appears OK.I had Swann about six years ago and that unit won’t stay online.I tossed that unit.Nothing jacks me up more is the useless text botsI’ll stop buys product from people who waist my time with that.

This is a nice inexpensive camera BUT it has a serious problem in high-contrast areas - for example where a room has a bright window - the camera will periodically darken the video and then auto adjust back to normal.... annoying but not as annoying as the fact that this causes the motion activated NVR to start recording... so the whole NVR is filled with light-to-dark and dark-to-light video.As it turns out this is a Foscam C1 - you can even upgrade the firmware with the Foscam C1 V1 firmware! For the first time you connect the camera it works after that you can never get a live feed. The software never stay connected to internet. Reviewing recording on memory card you see a person walk into the room and disappear from middle of room. When it on continuous recording it goes to sleep and you have missing footage. No connection via app and missing footage makes it completely useless to me.I returned it the next day.

I bought this camera to dabble in the affordable side of home security and I have to say, this product made a strong impression. Despite not having a cutting edge camera quality, what came out was much better than I expected. Having a night vision mode and microphone are also added benefits of this camera. The only big downside was that the audio from the speaker in the unit was subpar and very quiet. Other than that I would wholly recommend this product to anyone looking for a cheaper alternative to full home security systems.

I purchased these based on reviews I read and that was my mistake. This is my first wired system and I had it professionally installed however I think the guys didn’t connect the alarms but anyway, for a wired system it’s really no better than the Wi system that I replaced it with. I ordered a add on bullet camera and haven’t been able to get it connected with the dvr, I’ve reached out to swann but no answer, been a week almost.
I got one camera because it was a good price. I then got two more at that price. The first camera was made of metal the other two were plastic. They all work well however I wouldn't buy them at normal $
I bought these cameras after our home was broken into, and I love everything about them! The only thing I would do differently is buy wireless. Though the guys were able to get this wired in a day, I needed another cable to hook up the fourth camera. Red and blue flashing police style lights are great, and sensitivity is amazing; you can increase or decrease this feature. The app allows me to see what’s going on, but it’s a little slow getting on at times, they need to update that for quicker visuals. Overall, superb quality imaging and they do a great job at letting me know even when there’s a bird flying by my cameras; wireless would be better.
Purchased our kit with 4 cameras. The video quality and sensitivity was perfect for our needs. One camera had the LED's fail after a few months. After a battle with multiple Swann reps we did eventually receive a replacement camera that worked. A few months later and the LED's have failed on the remaining cameras - this feature failing at night results in footage that is useless. Have tried to replace the cameras that are no longer covered under warranty only to find the add-ons don't work with our DVR. We are so disappointed with our investment and indeed the support from Swann customer service. After months of searching for replacement camera's we will scrap this system for something else.
I bought a $200 camera from Best buy and returned it when I saw this one. I have this hooked up to my insteon home APP and HUB. It works flawless. It has been very easy to set up. It is not buggy and gives me great pictures. This must be the least expensive camera on the market.As for the app, I did not go that route. It seems to be a way for the company to capitalize on recordings to the cloud. I really don't need to spend $$ for that. It defeats the $29.99 price tag.Also, once the camera is attached to one account of the app, it is hard to reattach to another account.I have bought 5 more cameras and each one is easy to load up and automatically configures the port forwarding (when using the insteon hub).
