Several cameras got water condensate inside of the cameras after the very first rain. Customer service wouldn’t replay to e-mails or return phone calls. Day light picture quality is good. However, night or low light picture is grainy and not clear. A lot of issues with cameras get blind by the IR light reflection from near by walls. If you have to install the camera in the corner of your property and point it along the wall to see windows and another side of the property wall, IR reflection would literally blind the camera and ~50% of the view area will appear as a bright white spot. NVR keeps loosing 2 cameras,.

Disappointing system as videos on website make out that resolution is much better than actual system once installed. Can’t even read a car rego parked on road way stationary when camera has perfect angle and daylight with no glare. Trying to access so called 24/7 support is a joke as on many attempted got thru and a phone call once to be cut off and person never called back so overall don’t rate Swann at all in regards to products or support and will be requesting to return system for full refund

I used to use Arlo as my system until it was like every week there was a new better version. I did have a older Samsung and lorex rg59 setup but it did not run so great and could not by viewed away from the house. I Also install cable and camera systems and once I saw the ethernet POE setups finally produce the quality and easier install I was hooked Ill admit It has taken Swann a very long time to get all the settings or normal and extra new features to work properly and consistently I also upgraded my HD and don't Rec a Sub stream at all as it will save you a lot of bandwidth for real 4k video a

Bought this camera setup twice and have installed at 2 locations. When it comes to notifications there is a long lag when mobile is on 4g or another network and some times I never recieve an notification even tho system has recorded an alert. App does not have a feature to schedule modes (home, away & night) and nvr has difficult to no ability to schedule all the diffrent detection alarms or dosen't abide by them. One location I had to turn off alerts due to being heavily trafficed during the day and the owners just wanted alerts at night when property is vacant and schedules didn't work. Please give address the ability to run on new browsers. I am overall happy with the unit, but attention is needed in the next updates to address previous grievances.
I bought Swann Enforcer Camera System a couple of months ago and happy with my purchase so far. The picture quality is very good in 4K, however nothing exceptionally great but definitely above average. This is my first experience with Swann and I am still exploring multiple features, and it’s loaded with features & customisation that you can do. However, I felt the need of little more improved accessibility options and more ease in playing back the recorded videos.
Installed 4 of the 8 cameras today. Easy to setup. Image quality great. Until all but one fogged up. A bit concerning. Will be installing the remaining 4 tomorrow. If any of those fog up, I'll will be getting them replaced under warranty. The image on the one that isn't fogged up looks great. Review is middle of the road at the moment. Will change depending on what happens to with the condensation and Swanns attitude toward replacements.
I have had my system for a few months now and I have to I’m disappointed in the entire thing.Cameras and system continually dropping offline, system not holding the names for each camera and the one time I rang the installer to come out and set it up properly ……. Well I’m still waiting.
8 cameras sometimes 1 camera is not streaming. I switch off the system and switch back on and it comes up. Not super, I expect to see all cameras working all the time. One not working is fairly regular. Disappointing.
The Swann 16 channel 4K system that we purchased is GREAT! Awesome resolution on our 4K TV. Setup was fast and easy. We had an old Swann (lower resolution) for 5 years prior and never had a problem with the system or cameras. The 4K format provides enormous increase in viewing coverage. The biggest chore was climbing through the attic to replace the old BNC cables with PoE cables. One nice advantage is that the PoE connectivity, allowed us to eliminate the old BNC camera power supplies (one for every four cameras). All components were plug and play. I'm delighted with the new system!!!!!
Still setting up, looking good so far. Seems to be some form of lag in doing things like setting up and linking to dropbox on the phone and then the NVR-8580 (8 4k spotlight cameras) recognising it ? Livable once you know. An in-the-box manual is not included ... so I went to the website however the downloadable manual for the NVR-8580 is out of date :- i.e. there's no mention of "network: port configuration" which is a bummer as I don't know whether I need to configure "web" "client" "rstp" etc and what the UPNP column means (it seems to enable/disable the feature, however my vendor-provided home router doesn't not do UPNP, so I am currently STUCK there). Also, I tried an initial test with the phone app and one camera (channel) connected and it got stuck when ... MoreStill setting up, looking good so far. Also, I tried an initial test with the phone app and one camera (channel) connected and it got stuck when trying to view clips, a message about trying to download and circling for ages, like ages. Funnily enough now it is a day later I just paused typing and tried it now and it works. Go figure, perhaps some sort of lag thing. I hope it's not getting it from dropbox (is the phone app connecting to the NVR somehow) ? PLEASE PLEASE provide an updated manual and/or an explanation of the network: "port configuration" items and when they need to be set and if upnp is not a go then what the manual options are and how to set them up where manually. PS the fan in the NVR-8580 box is on all of the time and thus the box is noisy. I wanted to site the NVR-8580 box under the TV, but it's way too loud for that setting. I had to site it in another room and purchase a $200 monitor to go with it :( Also, I plugged in a USB Keyboard to make typing a long password easier for my missus who has really severe Arthritis, but it didn't recognise any of the 2 keyboards I tried. Nor did it recognise a wireless mouse/keyboard either, which would also have been handier for her. PLEASE PLEASE consider adding functionality to recognise a keyboard and USB-dongled wireless mouse/keyboard. Nevertheless, it is still looking good ... which is nice since I paid circa full AU$2300 for it ;)
