This doorbell is crap. I set it for a particular sound the during the middle of the night it will start chiming to a different sound and no one has rang or been near it. Very disappointed as I went with Swann generally because of there quality. Not this time. Only had the doorbell for least than a month.

Don’t buy this. Rings at random times at nigh and wakes up the house and chimes are terrible. I’ve done some research and it’s a common problem with this. I’ve exchanged it for a new one thinking it was faulty but the same thing happened, now I have to exchange it again but for a different brand. I’m posting this to save others going through the inconvenience.

I have had 2 of these wireless bells for 10 years and 1 stopped working unless the button push was held really close. One of the push button units has the original battery in it still working after 10 years.Initially I used them with batteries until I realised they could be plugged in to the mains (the older units didnt plug in to the wall directly like the current ones).There are lots of tunes to select from so I have one at the front door and another at the back.Very happy with the product or I wouldnt have bought another one.

Works as described and just what I needed.I found the 'Swann supports recycling' logo printed on the packaging and went looking for the recycling code on the large hard plastic wrapping. But there was none!! So its is not possible to recycle this packaging as, no marking, its rejected.Just a another corporate GREENWASH exercise aiming to score brownie points. FAIL
It's fabulous. My grandchildren aged 4 and 6 love the 32 different chimes. They spend ages changing the chimes.....much more fun than their toys. I just hope it survives , but the price is reasoable should it wear out from all the use. Hahaha.
This is the second doorbell and it is still ridiculous !It rings randomly in the night , yes that’s right , simply starts ringing at random times , we have now gotten used to knowing that it has a problem and in fact nobody is at the door at 3am !Plus the door chime randomly changes tone ! Has a mind of its own m.Done the usual , changed the batteries etc and this is the 2nd one with a similar problem to the first we had.So if you would like to woken in the middle of night by the sound of a doorbell , then this one’s right for you !
Great doorbell at a good price. With 2 speakers we can hear it throughout the house and outside. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is because very occasionally one speaker will play a different chime to the one that we set and I have to reset it again. That doesn't take long, but just a little annoying. Overall very happy.
Got this over two weeks ago and it’s working really well. We got it in black (couldn’t find black finish to review) it has been pouring rain and the double side tape and door chime is still performing well. The door bell is install in a completely exposed side of the house (townhouse where garage is on a ROW) so no shelter. It’s loud, so can hear through the house, it’s a double storey house. The receiver is plugged into kitchen. Going to look at a Swann product with intercom, would be good to be able to speak to person ringing door chime due to no visibility. Really happy with product.

If on the other hand you expect what a door bell usually does, ie chime when some actually presses the button at the door then you will be sadly disappointed. Oh……, I almost forgot to mention that unlike the instructions advise your chime selection ( we chose ‘ding dong classic) is but a fleeting choice before the product decided you have had enough of the choice and randomly chooses something else. The designers must have worked very hard to develop such a product. I would strongly suggest advertising ... Really disappointing door chime.Don’t bother setting a preferred (musical) door chime as it randomly changes.Thought we could put up with this ‘flaw’, but the door chime will start chiming even though no one has pressed the button. This has happened on a few occasions during the day and also during the night (12am, 3am, 4am etc).Do not recommend.
