Purchased this just before we had our new born, wanting to keep a close eye on the house while we were in the hospital and oh boy, am I disappointed. What was supposed to be a simple PoE set up has turned out to be an absolute cluster.On initial installation, 1 of the camera's won't power up. Absolutely worthless. Do not recommend.

I've only had this setup for 5 days but I can already tell this is a better system than those cloud based ones that rhyme with "ding", lol. The setup is easy, the notifications are less frequent, meaning Swann has figured out how to properly use the built in heat and motion sensors so a random spider or moth isn't likely to set things off. The 4K picture quality is superb...no more grainy faces and the night vision is clear as day. The 2 TB hard drive is all you need and I can record as often as I want without fear of using it up. Even the app itself is very well made and consumer friendly. This is a decent hardwired system for those of you not wanting a network linked wireless competitor. Be mindful of your HD size if you set up continuous recording. You only keep a few weeks at a time. Good picture of the video even at night. Does wash out license plates with it’s night vision. You need a computer monitor to be able to watch footage. Setup is weird and you need to be able to fish wires. If a DIY, get the sticks that electricians use to fish wires. It’ll save you a huge hassle. Overall a good investment and highly recommend.

This is a really nice setup. Includes everything you need to get going. Replaced the current security cameras with these and the upgrade was noticeable. If the included cameras aren't enough additional units can be added easily. The face these work with audio alone makes these a terrific option for those needed to either replace a current system or just getting started with one. Installation was easy and everything just worked when hooked up. Cameras are inconspicuous enough that it's very easy to not notice them; which is extremely useful with a security system.

I finally replaced my 10 year old system. Had always had issues with connecting to the internet for live streaming etc with the old system. (Old technology). This new unit / system was VERY easy to setup. Video quality is great. Very nice interface as well and mobile app function. The only con, there isn’t much of a Manual in the way of features etc. just some quick info packets to setup. So you will have to explore what’s online. Expect to tweak the cameras at least a couple of times after mounting to get the right location. Haven't completely figured it out yet, but seems pretty easy to configure. I have to find the sweet spot on notifications though.

Attempted several adjustments on the set up menu, but this system does not do any of the things the menu says it will do. Called tech support and escalated to a tier 2 technician. He had me download software onto a laptop and connect it to the NVR. He remoted in and adjusted sensitivity settings, set up the privacy zones and updated the cameras. It seemed to help a little but still got way to many activations. I went back into set up and again adjusted the sensitivity of the cameras. Still tons of notifications. True Detect does not work!!!!! Picks up anything and everything that moves. The firmware update updated it to grey our all adjustments because they never work anyways. He advised I could previously adjust them, but they didn't actually have any impact on the cameras. Unknown why the first tech support guy changed those settings if they didn't ever work or at least tell me the cameras never supported any adjustments in the first place. This system is just basic cameras that record without any fine tuning for your particular environment. They don't support any customization that the NVR says it will do. Don't waste your money on this system and go with another brand. Will be returning this system and going with a system that actually works

After it was clear that the camera itself was not working, we were told they would replace it. He called back the next morning, again around 6am, but did not leave a message. It's a great upgrade from our last system. But it doesn't mean anything if the product is faulty from the box and the manufacturer's warranty is impossible to honor somehow. Unfortunately, at this point we've passed the return period for Best Buy, but we're trying to hold the company itself accountable for being so careless.
The installation is pretty easy but if you don’t know how to run cables through your house, you’ll want to hire someone to do so. If you don’t mind the Ethernet cables being exposed, you can do it your self and buy some cable casing to try to make it less of an eye soar. Each camera comes with 60 feet of Ethernet line which should be plenty for almost any home. Image quality is great. There is an app so you can be anywhere in the world and log in to see the video feeds.
So far so good( so far)!. was fairly easy to set up and understand. the directions were clear and so are the cameras. love that we are able to add on cameras later. solid construction, looks and feels professional. Again so far so good (so far) things change may start off great and could end quickly, guess time will tell but love it so far!
