Tasteless and easy to swallow.I switched to mixed tocopherols some time ago already as they are more complete in action.Tri-pherols are even better but quiet more expensive.No PEGS among "other ingredients".Essential for skin and mostt important for the arterial health.Taking 2 daily since ever (i.e: 3-4 years).

Swanson Vitamin E Mixed Tocopherols is part of my basic stack to support overall health & wellbeing - I take one 400 IU pill in the morning and one in the late evening. I prefer mixed tocopherols to the basic Alpha-tocopherol version for the potential additional health benefits with regards to antioxidant activity. The pill is easy to swallow with a small amount of water. I've come to trust Swanson brand over the years.

I follow the mantra 'cheap vitamin C' expensive E.Laboratory cornstarch vitamin C (ascorbic acid) has been proven to be as effective as the natural. Vitamin E, however, is a different story. An exact duplicate of vitamin E CANNOT be made in the laboratory so you must purchase the natural product.In addition, this product contains more than just the d-alpha tocopheral element. It contains the beta, delta and gamma components as well. Only now is research looking at these parts of vitamin E and they are learning much.All in all, the prices on this E are the best I've found.
It pains me to write a negative review on a Swanson product because I am a HUGE Swanson fan. I’ve been taking this product for years thinking I was getting a good mix of tocopherols. However I recently inquired on the actual mix quantities of the various tocopheols via emails with three customer support reps. What I found out was deeply disappointing.Of the 268 mg (equivalent of 400 IU) of vitamin E in each of these caps, over 265 mg is D-Alpha and less than 2 mg is a mix of the other three. Sad but true. Roughly 1% contains a mix, while roughly 99% is straight D-Alpha which according to many well respected experts in the field is not only the least beneficial of the tocopherols but can also displace some of the others (notably the Gamma) in their function in the ... The beneficial form of vitamin E from dietary sources that has been researched is in the Gamma form.My disappointment with Swanson is not that they are putting out pretty much a straight D-Alpha product. I’m fine with that. The vast majority of what is on the market is D-Alpha (whether it be natural or synthetic). What bothers me is that they call this “Mixed Tocopherols” which I feel is very misleading based on the amounts involved. I don’t believe that this is intentional, but I still find it disappointing.I recently switched to the Swanson Maximum Strength Gamma, which contains a whopping 750 mg of Gamma along with a decent amount of Beta and Delta. Much more expensive, but in my mind well worth every penny.
