Setup was incredibly easy, configuration is intuitive and fast, the ability to mix and match drives is just a killer feature. I'm thrilled with this device.

I absolutely love the RS818+! I filled mine with 4 WD Gold 9TB drives, the Synology 16GB RAM kit, and the MD217 with dual 1TB Samsung EVO 860 m.2 SSD as cache, and this thing kicks butt! I primarily use this for sharing media and data in and out of my network, and it has yet to have a hiccup. The DSM is working well with a quite friendly, yet still tech savvy interface.Bottom line: if you're looking for a nice 4 bay NAS for iSCSI, NFS, and TimeMachine backups, then get this one, and have a blast!
