Tabac Original Shaving Cream 100 ml

Probably the best shave cream that I own. The scent is perfect floral with a hint of tobacco. Lathers up great and makes for a great shave everytime! This shave cream is definitely a must have in any wet shavers arsenal. Also purchased the Tabac aftershave, and it's just as good, five stars all around, can't say enough good things about this product, it's that good!

Like others said it was more perfumey than I thought. Luckily it doesn’t linger too long. The shave is good ( straight razor) but it requires more product to foam nicely compared to Lea Classic for example. I remember my dad using this maybe it was the aftershave but it had a more manly smell. Could be my memory. I gave it 4 stars as it is a good shave but I wouldn’t buy it again

1st Tabac tube

Have never tried Tabac before. I like the scent and feel of this, comes out of the tube a little wetter than others. Lathers up well, provides nice cushioning and lubrication for multiple passes. Will buy again.

Another Tabac Classic

If you like the Tabac scent and want a great shaving cream to go with your line-up... Look no further. A bit different than the soap; it comes out of the tube a pale yellow and lathers up kind of the same shade. But no matter - it's a very thick (more so than the soap), well-performing lather. Reasonably slick, lots of cushion. Gives a great, close shave. Hard to decide between the soap puck and cream... Try both; you can't go wrong with either.

Disappointing and Not a Good Buy.

Firstly the cream was on the site as,"3 x Tabac Original Shaving Cream 100ml" which I thought was a good deal. What I got was 1 tube. When I went to use the product I had to remove a crust in the neck of the tube with small scissors before I could get to the cream (I have never had to do this with other creams) then I found the cream to be very thick and very difficult to lather. I am a big fan of Tabac shaving soap but this came no where near it. Would not recommend.

Great Scent Great Shave

My overall experiences with Tabac Shaving Cream have been very good. I saw it is popular so I thought I would find out for myself and I was not disappointed. Great scent, thick, creamy lather. The price is very descent too.

If you love Tabac, this will do for travel

First off, let me start with the fact that Tabac takes up two days out of my week. I absolutely love the tabac soap and considered it a must have for any wet shaver. However, the cream falls short for ease of use, it is incredibly stubborn and is picky. Yet, as a fan of Tabac, I find the product acceptable for travel use when I just can't do without Tabac.The cream is yellow and at first is promising. So I soaked my brush, used the proraso pre-shave, heated my Georgetown pottery scuttle and went to lather. Pretty difficult to replicate the lather that Tabac soap makes (and the soap lathers up in just four to five swipes!). Mäurer & Wirtz Tabac Original Shaving Cream 100ml

My first impression was that this cream created an overly thin lather that I didnt trust to be sufficiently protective, but in fact every shave Ive had with it has been a good one, with no irritation and no blood drawn. As Ive found with a few Tabac products now, the scent doesnt linger as much as Id hoped and expected, but the product is very good at doing what its supposed to do.

One shave was enough!

Often, shaving creams are said to have a scent, which implies some sort of pleasant fragrance. IMHO, Tabac doesn't have a scent. It has a smell, and it isn't good. It reminds me of the odor in a well-used, seldom cleaned public restroom. To be fair, I mixed up a bowl full, and shaved. The lather was just OK, nothing great. The shave was just OK, nothing great. Not wanting to waste a new tube, I asked several of my wet shaving friends if they wanted it. Nothing doing. I couldn't even give this stuff away. If you really feel the need to try this cream, order a sample first before you waste your money on a whole tube. I gave it one star only because they won't let me give no stars.

The Gold Standard

Tabac is the gold standard of shaving soaps and creams. Yes, the smell is polarizing. It’s often though that you either love it or hate it. Personally, I’m indifferent to it. But, the lather can’t be beat. And that’s what you want in a shaving soap or cream. It might take some work to learn how to pull the best lather out of this, so your first couple tries might not blow you away, but once you’ve got it, it’ll be hard to use anything else. I’ve been using Tabac cream exclusively for the past 10+ years. Slick, rich, and effective in protecting your skin, you won’t be disappointed if you pick up a tube of this.
