Overall these are a massive backwards step compared to there predecessor model. On the plus side their latches are improved, but they have far fewer tubs than the old design, with less height in each tub. The overall dimensions are also different, which means that they cannot be racked with their predecessor design.Would far prefer the old design to this one.

In the past, I have used plastic take away containers to store nuts, bolts etc. in my shed. As you probably know, these tend to go brittle over time and can cause problems. I decided to take things in hand and use an organiser. The Tactix 405mm with removable tubs suited me fine. They are solid and well made and the openers are easy to operate with work gloves on.They are available in two depths. I used five (5) of the standard and two (2) of the deeper ones and then made a cabinet for them. The cabinets are under my work bench. Photo attached.Since then, I have used other Tactix organisers in another cabinet, but these are my favourite as you can move the tubs around to suit your storage needs.Cheers.

Purchased a few different sizes - great for keeping all our small electronics components where we can find them! this size with 12 deep tubs is better for the larger components.Just wonder how long the catches will last - but at this price the storage is great :-)

I was already a fan of the tactix toolbox. I was pleasantly surprised to find the improvement to the latches and resizing of removable boxes.
Good design improvements over earlier version. They are reasonably durable although maybe not quite strong enough to stand up to trade use. Lid is a little flimsy and flexible meaning that if you fully load compartments with small items ( eg nails) a few may shift into adjacent compartments when you carry it around.I particularly like that the case has been designed with a inset on each lower side so you can make up a drawer system to store them. Cheap 42*18mm pine lengths are the perfect size to act as rails.
I bought a heap of these hard shell Tactix box variants to get my stuff organised, BIG MISTAKE! The way these are designed, unless every internal compartment is exactly in place to the millimeter, the lid will either not close, or break.

I am a beader and these are amazing for storing all my different components for jewellery making. the separate containers mean I can just take out the ones i want to use each time and it doesn't take up too much of my working space.
These boxes, stacked vertically, are an ideal storage system for many things. I built a vertical drawer for a dozen, so that they slide out easily.
Using a bunch of these to organise my power tool plus accessories
