Very annoyed. Bought this product in April to paint my lounge room and two coats were sufficient to cover the existing cream colour on the walls. Bought this exact same paint last week (end of July) for my very small 3 x 3 spare room (same cream colour) and even with 3 coats it’s still not looking great. Taubmans must be watering their cheaper paint down to make more sales. Wld hv been more cost effective to buy the Dulux paint in the end. Not a happy camper.

Very poor coverage, I am very cynical about the painters that indicate otherwise. I understand that Taubmans is changing this formula - if it was so good, why would it be needing to do that? Taubmans have some fantastic quality painting products including primer, but this is not one of them. Spend the additional money to get Dulux wash and wear or similar and save yourself time and money in the long run.

I bought this paint a few weeks ago and going to be getting more. This paint has great stretching properties (painter will understand the need for this) and a smooth finish through an airless sprayer. Brush works just as well with the paint and a roller - depending on the type (micro is better for this type of paint then foam) the application is smooth with little to no roughness or lumps.

These bases are awful! Completed two coats and would've needed at least two more to come close to looking okay. Paint spattered everywhere with the roller because it was so watery - ruined duvet cover and had to repaint the trims. Stopped after two coats, went back to store to colour match the Taubmans colour into a Dulux base. No paint spatter with Dulux and a nicer finish even after just one coat. Will never buy Taubmans bases again after this experience. Use at your own risk (and expense).
Even after about 5 coats, still doesn't look solid. Very poor, thin coverage per coat. Paint is something I usually don't scrimp on budget-wise, getting the best quality because otherwise it's false economy, more coats needed, more time. I actually thought Taubmans was a good brand which is why I bought. I will avoid in future though. Will always go with Dulux or, if I can find it, the Australian brand Haines which is probably even better than Dulux. Don't think Bunnings stocks Haines though.
I have been using this product on an extensive amount of 1980's timber doors, doorways, windows, skirting etc, and I really like the result. After a light sand, I use British Paints 4 in 1 primer, then 2 - 3 coats of the Taubmans door & trim. It's easy to use, and while it's not the traditional oil based enamel full gloss, to me, the effect is a subtle gloss and more modern look. Water clean up is a breeze.
I bought this about 3 months ago, luckily it was only one can as I was/am painting an entire house, even with the Taubmans 3 in one primer/sealer underneath the easy coat ceases to amaze with how bad of a finish it gives. Rolling it slowly, and being super careful not to squish the watery liquid onto the wall marginally helps.Cutting with feathering also came up patchy. Honestly just go with a different paint you won't regret it
I recently purchased this in the "accent base".This paint has been an absolute nightmare! I have used 4L in a small laundry and I still have to keep going! I will be purchasing dulux to do the last coat/coats. I have applied 4 coats already! The paint has the consistency of food colouring added to water! It dries soooo patchy!! The problem is because it's so thin when you roll over your roller line to even the coat out you remove some of the paint which is normal but because it's so thin it basically removes the whole layer leaving it with some thicker coats and some thinner ones. Do yourself and your wallet a favour and pay the little extra and get Dulux!
Have used plenty of other paints including Dulux, Wattyl and Taubmans Pro without issue but Easycoat is absolutely terrible. Consistency is like water, even in very thin coats it doesn't stick to the wall. I really don't know how an established paint maker can stuff this up so badly. Not fit for any type of painting job, worse than even the no name paint. Avoid at ALL costs, complete waste of time and money. Zero stars
As a retired paint formulation chemist I can definitely recommend this product. Opacity is excellent with two coats giving full coverage. Gloss is as you would expect from a water-based paint. Flow and levelling could be better but once again probably as good as you would expect from a water-based paint.
