Bespoke Driver with Amazing Performance

I went in for a fitting and compared my current Stealth to the newer one; I must admit that numbers don't lie and I was getting about 10-15 more yards out of the new one but most importantly, the spin numbers were just in the perfect sweet spot for me. We fiddled and tried out various shafts and found that the Ventus Blue, Regular produced the best numbers and shot shape.I elected to 'Custom' order my club using the MyStealth2 program and was very pleased with both the process and build. Initially, I was told not to expect my new driver until sometime in April - then it showed up mid-March! Surprise! Sometimes open, sometimes closed, sometimes square. I switched shafts with another who had the Rouge shaft and it was much straighter. Went to get fitted for a new shaft, but hit the Stealth plus and couldn’t go back. So now.....Stealth Plus 9 degree with the stock Rouge shaft in stiff, 1/2” shorter than standard. I hit all but 1 fairway first round I played. Drives were 255-260 typically and a VERY tight dispersion. Longest drive 283. My playing partners were in awe especially from ME being the one doing that- it’s not my MO. The club head speed is up about 2 mph, ball speed is up about 3mph. Mishits don’t hurt much. Not Impressed.

I pre-ordered this club in January and was chomping at the bit for it to finally come in. When it did this past week, I was kind of disappointed. The driver came with quite a few blemishes in the aesthetics. It had a chip on the rear carbon ring (red part that is new to the stealth 2), a scratch on the sole of the club, and a scratch on the toe near the TaylorMade logo. On top of these issues, the driver comes without a tool….after spending $600 on a driver, the least they could do is throw in a tool. I have bought two different drivers from Cobra (both much cheaper than a TaylorMade driver) and have received a tool with both. I no longer have those tools since I sold them with the drivers, so I needed a new one and am disappointed that I didn’t receive one after ... MoreI pre-ordered this club in January and was chomping at the bit for it to finally come in. I no longer have those tools since I sold them with the drivers, so I needed a new one and am disappointed that I didn’t receive one after the long wait and $600 spent. The cherry on top is that I was told that the driver comes with a tool before purchasing, and then when I reached out today, the agent I asked said “this is false information.”With all of that being said, the performance of the club is good. The good strikes are good, and the bad strikes are still good. But it’s not good enough to make up for the inconveniences and bad parts of this driver. After a couple drives I heard a rattling noise inside of the head..not something you want to hear out of your brand new driver..but it has since stopped making the noise. All in all, I would not recommend a Stealth 2 driver to someone that is in the market. This says a lot because I have a full 14-club bag of all TaylorMade and would buy pretty much anything they put out because I was used to the great quality and the experience. However, that has taken a huge dip with this purchase.Decent driver but not worth the trouble.... Show more

One of T.M.'s Best!

I've been playing TaylorMade drivers for the past 12 years - starting with the R-11, R-15 the M2, the M6 and now the Stealth. I just received the 2022 Stealth driver from Global Golf yesterday, as a "Certified pre-owned" As usual from Global Golf, it looked brand new. I used it for the first time today. First impressions are very positive. Love the slightly muted sound. It just sounds solid. I'm not sure yet if I hit it farther than my trusty M6 (average carry 240), but I know it's at least as far, and it is very forgiving - I know I hit it farther on my slight mis-hits than the M6. The look and setup on this driver is superb. I personally like the red face, and the simple "Stealth" on the back. No other stupid gimmicky stuff on it. Phenomenal Driver

Purchased this driver and the Stealth Plus as replacements for my SIM and I am an 11 handicap. Both with the Project X Smoke Black 6.0 70g shafts and 9 degree loft. I play league at 2 different courses and wanted to have the versatility and shot shaping of the Plus at one course and the Stealth for it's forgiveness on the other course. From the fitting to the course, these clubs are drastically different in feel. The Plus with the Smoke Black is a very low penetrating flight. This club, the Stealth I found to be very smooth and balanced. With the Smoke Black however, it didn't quite add up distance wise to my SIM (8 yard loss). I swapped shafts to my Project X Black 6.0 75 gram that I had in my SIM and carried the first drive 315. Bottom Line is that for my game, I need to find a replacement shaft that is close to the Project X Black and not the Smoke Black.... Show more

I bought this driver a month ago, I could not be happier except for the distance but in this care it may be the "Indian and not the arrow" as I am 66 years old and don't have the turn I used to have, still a solid 255 to 265 yd drive. I have had a handicap as low as 3 and currently at 8. The feel of the ball coming off the club face is incredible, really don't notice the sound as some reviews have noted. Misses on the toe, no noticeable loss of yardage. Misses on the heal of course less yardage but still good yardage. Solid center strikes are unbelievable, "one with the universe". The club sets up perfectly at address and I have the confidence in my set up to make the swing. I was never a fan of the white club head and really enjoy the look of the matt finish. To my surprise, the new driver was delivered in early March, a full month ahead of projections and I have been able to test it in real-world, on-course, in-game situations. Amazingly, the results were very similar to the numbers we saw on the simulator - my 'average' drive is a full 8-yards longer (baby fade) and whenever I step on it (and connect properly), I have recorded 23+ yards extra carry with a great trajectory and better roll out. Keep in mind, we're still playing 'Spring Golf' here in Kentucky, so the numbers will probably increase with the temperatures. All in all, definitely worth the extra few bucks, and then there's the look: I went with an 'all black' design and TM hit it out of the ballpark - now I have a new gamer that has other folks scratching their heads wondering what this new-fangled TaylorMade club is!...
