I was hesitant to purchase this TV based on the other reviews but I'm glad I got it. Takes a little while to turn on but everything is instant, no delays. Really easy to set up. Mounting the unit, tuning TV, connecting Foxtel box and logging into streaming apps took less than 15 minutes. The standby light is quite bright, not ideal for a bedroom with light sleepers. Really happy with this purchase. Such good value!

I’ve bought two of these TVs because they’re cheap and easy to set up. The picture is good face on but when watching from an angle the colours are distorted. I sometimes experience a lag with the sound but that could be the internet (?). I’ve had the TV for a month and am happy so far. The set up was so easy! Within 15 minutes of delivery we had our first smart TV up and running.

I have had this TV a while now, Its in the bedroom. IT HAS NO SLEEP TIMER BUTTON.You can access the sleep timer function via a long and drawn out process that requires 49 button presses for turn off in 1 hour. WHY WHY does the remote have a language button that you use only at set up???, but no sleep timer button???? Now I find that TCL has changed the config of the TV and now the recall button no longer works! My plea to TCL to make it easier for a sleep timer button at the top of home screen has fallen on deaf "ears" instead they have made channel navigation more difficult in their last "downgrade"I certainly wouldn't purchase another TCL

For the money its pretty, pretty pretty, good but the more apps you put on it and the more you use it, it gets very slow and tech support said we can't fix this.... sad but true... Bluetooth is poor and doesn't connect properly. They have made it so difficult to connect your headphones. All other TV's pick up the headphones (once initiated) straight away...not with this TV. TCL said that there will be an update coming but who knows when and what they have fixed... poor communication from TCL. Does not matter what the price is all functions should work properly.
I have a few Android TV's now and this TV is problematic and quality of chip is lacking. The TV works, user friendly but it is sluggish even with the system update which is better but still need work. Google operates differently on this TV than others and bluetooth compatibility is poor. I use it everyday for short periods and it does its job and I got a great price. Still disappointed.
Does all the things you want it to do, good smart features etc, but very slow to switch on and load menus etc probably takes a good 45 seconds from pressing the on button to being able to select a platform (nextflix, stan, Freeview etc) to view something. Setting it up was reasonably easy because you can sync it with your existing android/Google account. Comes with two remotes have only used the small voice activated one. Overall good product for what you pay just very slow in a world where everyone wants things instantly! Impressed it has a 3 yr warranty as I only got 2 with my bigger more expensive branded tv.
This is one of the few inexpensive smart TVs that includes a browser that can access SBS On Demand.When using the browser, it's important to know that the only way to move out of the on-screen keyboard is to press the "EXIT" key on the remote control.Audio that is played by a stereo connected direct to a DVD player is out of sync with audio that comes from the TV. Connecting the stereo to the headphone output seems to fix the problem.It takes 45 seconds from switch-on to boot the Android operating system and start showing a TV program.We've had the TV for only 2 weeks, and have already had to reset the system once to fix problem of sound but no picture. To reset, switch off the power point, hold the power button for 5 seconds, wait a minute and re-start.
I bought this a few weeks ago to replace a horribly annoying one I'd purchased from a big online-onlu store. This TV is fantastic. It takes a minute or so to turn on, but after that it's fairly quick and responsive. Good quality viewing and the sound is reasonable. The remote layout is logical. Easily plugged in to various consoles. Great purchase!
Bought two weeks ago, huge mistake, had constant issues since plugged in, mostly due to what seems like a very poor android implementation and subpar hardware such as wireless n.......ac is current for three plus years now....guess it’s to keep them cheap, 1 USB port though advertised as having two, poor software prevents you using a USB stick to extend internal 8GB memory which you only get use of 4GB, the other 4 is hidden for TCL software. Picture is washed out, to much contrast even after adjusting and speaker sound is shocking, sounds like an 80’s tv. TCL has a 14 day faulty return policy, just contact them for approval, luckily mine was in that window so now have known brand that is way better and 4K UHD. Overall I’m very happy with it. It was very good value for the money. Has most of the features I was looking for. The one thing I am a bit disappointed with it is that I can’t get Prime Amazon in the Apps. Otherwise all other streaming services are available. My Bluetooth headphones work well too.
