This is a good steam iron and the capacity of the tank means you don't have to keep refilling it. I was expecting the item to be much bigger so was pleased to see that it's pretty compact. It heats up quickly and it's novel not having to change the iron's setting. I followed the advice given on the presentation and press the steam button on the iron's handle before putting it onto the fabric, that prevents any chance of scorching fine materials. It's a keeper for me because the sharp creases you get on shirts and trousers are super sharp! And embroidered logos on polo shirts are steamed perfectly flat, in the past I've found it difficult to get a good finish. It's nice to be able to freshen up my cushions and next on the list is to steam the sofas.

Wasn't sure about this Steam Generator Iron, but though I'd give it a go within the 60 day return period. The initial reasons being that it is very heavy compared to my existing one. No power cord storage and the storage area for the steam cord is so tight it is difficult to get in and out, I have no dexterity problems. These issues weren't deal breakers, but on my 2nd time of using this appliance water started spurting out over my clothes leaving water stains. I thought this was one of the key features of this iron that it was drip free !!? This in turn made my mind up as is quite a big investment even at the TSV price and in my opinion certainly doesn't warrant the full price. For all the above reasons has been returned.

Bought to replace an older Tefal Steam Generator iron, and it's so much better - although I've only really used it once. It's easy to fill with a removable tank, no heat settings, the steam boost works really well on denim and similar. However, there isn't any cord storage and the steam tube is difficult to stow in the slot around the front, but these are minor details. The iron is easy to use, light enough and the whole unit feels lighter than my old one. Ironing made easier, what's not to like?

I've been using the Tefal steam iron for a while now, and it's been a solid addition to my laundry routine. It heats up quickly and has adjustable steam settings, which is super handy for different types of fabrics. The iron glides easily over clothes, making ironing less of a chore. Plus, the anti-drip feature keeps things mess-free, and the self-cleaning function is a nice bonus. All in all, if you're looking for an easy-to-use, reliable iron, Tefal's got you covered!
So disappointed with my purchase. This is the 3rd regal steam generator iron and it is by far the worst. It’s like tefal have gone backwards. Last model had electric cable that wound back into the machine and a lovely section for the hot iron cord could fold into . This model has none of that the electric cord has nowhere to go when model not being used, the hot cord from the iron can’t be pushed into the tiny small gap underneath the water tank. The steam button keeps sticking so is still steaming when stood upright. A completely horrible product that I really want to send back . Tefal if you could contact me directly please about this
I already have a steam generator iron but liked the idea of this one being able to steam delicate fabrics without them getting ruined. After using it does live up to this. My only real issue is the power cable is much shorter than my old one and so is the cord that the steam goes through. My ironing board is big, it’s got a bigger plate especially for holding a steam generator. I had to move it so close to the plug socket as the cable is short. I also found that large items such as duvet covers kept getting caught up in the steam cord too. My Morphy Richards one has ample cord and cable and I don’t have a problem. In the demo, this one was shown steaming a mattress , I’ve no idea how this could be without using an extension cable. I think the cord issue might sway me into returning as I don’t want to be held on ironing in one position just so it reaches the plug socket.
I'm a little disappointed but I seem to be in the minority. I have an old Bosch generator iron which has been fantastic but it's on it's last legs. This seemed a good replacement. However, it has taken me twice as long to iron as with my old iron. T shirts are needing the backs ironed, something I haven't had to do with my old iron. It's used the water very quickly, had to add more after 8 items of clothes. I'm on the fence. I feel I need to give it more time as I'm probably used to my old iron and finding the change a bit different at the moment. As it stands, I'd probably return but I'm hoping I can grow to love it as much as other reviewers.
I've had Tefal Irons for as long has I can remember and my last one I just kept hanging by a shoestring not wanting to let it go. After doing some housework I came across this one with mixed feelings not knowing how I'd feel not being in control of the heat setting, mind know I realise it's probably one of the best decisions I'll have to make for a long time letting my husband loose on an iron when he Irons linen shirts because he was putting it on full heat I was always afraid of him burning them. Now it's amazing you can go form silk to Jeans in seconds and then to a shirt no more sorting out the laundry basket what to iron in order. So I was skeptical I take it back and it also has a good water tank that you can take off and refill. I really don't know what I was ... MoreI've had Tefal Irons for as long has I can remember and my last one I just kept hanging by a shoestring not wanting to let it go. I received this iron just before Christmas and have been using it most days since. Firstly, it does seem unusual that there are not different temperature settings. However this was definitely not a problem and worked beautifully on all fabrics from cotton bedding (using the Boost function) to silk shirts. The actual iron is very light and easy to use. It glides across all fabrics and produces an excellent result with little effort. The water tank is a good size and lasts for several hours before needing to be refilled. I live in a area with very hard water so the 'Scale' collector is a very important feature for me - this worked well and the cleaning process was straightforward. All in all I found this to be an excellent iron and my husband believes it's the best he has ever used - praise indeed.
