Not a fan of ironing but this iron takes a step toward making it a bit more pleasant. Just wish it would do it all for me. Heats up quickly and glides over fabric easily leaving a great crease free result. Unlike my old iron it doesn't leak water everywhere either. Haven't tested the auto "off" yet but this was another attractive feature for me given the memory issues one gets when not so sharp any more.

Ive had my new Tefal UltraGlide Anti-Calc Plus iron three months now, and just love it. The water compartment is easy to fill and the base is wide enough to stand on my ironing board. It produces an excellent coverage of steam and works well on a variety of clothing and materials. The turbo boost of steam is available to use with more difficult fabrics such as linen. The inclusion of the ECO energy setting is great, as is the added option of the calcium collector in the baseOver all it is a great iron and has made my ironing much less of a chore. I would certainly recommend it to others.

Love Tefal products. Have been using Tefal Irons all my life. This one is extremely efficient.However, the lead is too short 185 cm. I have been tempted to throw the iron across the room every time I use it. I haven’t because I’m recovering from major hand surgery.Surely this is a mistake Tefal? It does not reach what I am ironing - and my socket and board are very close by. I now have to go and buy an extension lead. Never had to do that before.

I bought this iron for the features listed however I can’t use these features and don’t even know how to clean the product because the instructions are not clear. The only instructions provided are only confusing diagrams with no written instructions. I contacted Tefal to ask for actual instructions on how to operate the iron but they said they only have these diagrams and don’t even produce basic YouTube videos to explain how to operate the iron. I cannot believe they don’t provide proper clear instructions on how to use their product. I will never buy another Tefal product because they don’t clearly explain how to use it.
Biggest mistake buying this iron.Constantly dripped whilst I used it and it was incredibly heavy and cumbersome. I also found filling the tank up was awkward due the the angle of the iron as you needs to fill it up on an angle and then constantly stand it upright to check it reached the max level. I also felt the irons standing/sitting position was awkward and felt like it was going to fall off the ironing board all the time. I would not recommend this product at all.
My old Sunbeam has lasted for nearly 2 decades, so I was sad to see it go & the salesman really had to lay all the pros & cons to get me to change my mind to a new brand, but jeez he new his products. And although when I got it home I found it had a fault. It was a straight swap for a new one. It is awesome, lighter weight, although heavier than my oldie, but it has a bigger water tank, which is great. Glides like a dream, cord swivels easily & doesn't get stuck. All the buttons are in the right place. Best of all it cools down really quick, so you dont have to wait untill the next day for it to cool down. One annoyance though, you don't get a water poorer like you did with the old ones so don't throw yours out thinking you'll get a new one.
A bit disappointing. This iron does not get as hot as my old one which makes it difficult to iron linen and some cottons with constantly spraying with water. Does not steam unless the water tank is at least half full. The instructions are very confusing pictures which make very little sense. I expected better from Tefal which I have always thought at a reputable brand.
Great value, plug in first and by the time you have laid out your first shirt it is hot and rtg! Friction free ironing. Posts about a short cord are accurate if you have read them. I work at the wall so it suits me, if you need to set up in middle of room you would need extension cord. Replaced good old iron, amazing improvement, great steam supply, should have replaced it years ago for the time savings I now have and the safety of auto turn off.
The sleek look of the Tefal iron won me over. It was spotted in my laundry and it was commented it looked space age!Ironing was an absolute pleasure with this iron. Smooth and easy to use. Quick to get through that growing ironing pile, without the need for a quick re-press before wear.The steam function was great, good canister to hold water.Loved the anti-calc and easy clean at the bottom.Lengthy cord, great for manoeuvring.My only dislike was the weight, with a full water canister, otherwise im in domestic love with this iron.
This may be a very good iron with many good features. But because the 'instructions' are limited to such confusing diagrams, I have no idea how to use the iron properly. Having a number of features, the instructions should have a list of them, with each feature named, numbered/labelled and explained with detailed written instructions to accompany diagrams. Without this, the features cannot be easily identified and understood. I normally read and follow instructions very comfortably. But I don't think I'll ever be able to use this iron properly because I can't follow the 'instructions'. Until that is remedied, I cannot recommend the iron to others.
