I decided to try these after wearing through my first pair of climbing shoes. I have some food issues (bunions) and find most all shoes excruciatingly painful. I had tried on a pair of the Mundaka's some time earlier and remembered how comfortable they were for such an aggressive shoe, and looked into the line more for their basic shoe, bringing me here. I would say the rubber is a little stickier than the Tarantulace, but not by a lot. The shoe is also more flexible, but again, but by a lot. These are my gym shoes, but I also wear them outside most of the time and I use them for all but my project grades (which isn't that high- 10a-10d depending on the style). These shoes are very light and comfortable. They are not equivalent to Scrpa Vapor Vs, which I had been using,, but have worked well in the gym, providing adequate toe edging and heal hooks. I an climbing only at the V3 level and suspect the Tenayas would not be adequate for V8 or above. The toe box does not seem as stiff as other shoes I have used. The shoes run a little large. I wear 41.5 / 8.5 in Vapor Vs and bought the 8.5 for these shoes. If I buy again I will go down half-a-size.

This is the second set for my daughter only because she put grew the last pair. They have excellent grip and are very comfortable for climbing shoes. They are definitely a more mild shoe and might be ok on some easier outdoor routes, but I just haven’t convinced her to climb outside yet. Overall they hold up incredibly well with regular gym usage.
Really wanted a comfortable climbing shoe for starting out, and these are great. These aren't aggressive but they will work just fine for pretty much any beginner or intermediate climbing.
As a beginner, I find them comfortable and not too aggressive. I now have a lot more confidence in my footing. In the last week I’ve completed boulders that I would only dream of doing in rental shoes. A note of caution, the sizing runs a bit bigger than other climbing shoes I’ve tried.
After two months of use, I love this pair of shoes. These moderate climbing shoes are great for beginner indoor and outdoor climbing. After breaking in, they're comfortable to wear for a 2-3 hour climbing session. The sizing was perfect for me and I did notice the adhesive coming out on the sides a bit after regular use.
The best entry level shoe I have every tried. I love how super comfortable the shoe is while still giving me power in my toes for climbing with my feet.
I did not use these to climb in rather only writing a review to help those looking for the right size. I consistently wear a women's size 8 and ordered these in a size women's 8.5 which is a men's 7.5. This shoe is considered unisex so goes off men's sizes. It was a tough decision as I was between this shoe and and the Evolv's Elektra. The fit on this was a good snug (not uncomfortable like other climbing shoes I have tried) and I felt they would likely stretch but when it came down to it my feet felt better in the other shoes. I'd say if you want a snug fit go a half size up from your regular shoe size or if you want a more relaxed fit go a whole size up. Maybe in the future I'll order a whole size up. The shoe offered all around comfort for the slightly snug fit.
These shoes are great. They stretched out into a great fit with my foot, the flex is nice enough for some intermediate climbs but solid enough to support my feet still without losing everything in the arch. My big toe doesn't seem to be sitting perfectly in the pocket anymore now that the shoes are broken in, but perhaps it just doesn't feel as painful any longer and I'm having a phantom feeling. These run large, I went two sizes down
