These sandals couldn't be more comfortable considering the multiple medical issues of my feet. The additional arch support in the Verra style is perfect; the Shoc Pad heel cushions absorb the impact of each step; and the front straps don't cramp or pinch my toes. Shortly after purchasing my first pair of the Verra style in black, I bought a pair of the blue ones. When initially trying them on, I thought the new blue ones fit exactly the same as the black ones I have been wearing for a couple of weeks, but because of someone's 1-star review indicating that the blue/green (Arona Sagebrush) color was a full ½ size smaller than the black ones, I tried the blue ones on again, and indeed they are the same exact fit. To be 100% sure, however, I conducted a couple of experiments. First, I took the left-foot shoe of my black pair and put it side-by-side on a level surface with the left shoe of the blue pair, placing the left black shoe to the right of the blue left shoe, and sure enough the black one visually appeared longer. Then I reversed the two left shoes, placing the left black shoe to the left of the blue one, and then the blue shoe looked longer. No explanation for this phenomenon, but I could understand what that reviewer was referring to. Since this seemed inconclusive after doing a second comparison using the black and blue right-foot shoes, I did one last test by using a lined legal pad, marking a couple of spots on the paper to be sure that the shoes would be placed exactly the same, and also put a metal ruler on a straight line near the bottom of the pad to ensure they were both measured from the exact same place, then drew a pencil outline of the black shoe and then the blue shoe. The black shoe and the blue shoe measured exactly the same! They feel so awesome, even when worn all day long. The blue color is exactly as pictured online. They are so pretty, but more importantly, so comfortable!

Although these shoes are extremely comfortable and have good arch support, because they fit so well and have a rubber-like sole there is no room for your foot to breathe! I could feel my feet starting to sweat after wearing them a couple of hours and when I took them off, because I have dry skin, there were moist skin rolls coming off of my feet! I have never had this happen before, but it was most definitely because I wasn’t wearing socks and because no air could get to the bottom of my feet. I wanted to love these so much because of the comfort and support, but because of the breathability I had to lower the rating. I’ll spare you the photo.

I bought these for a trip to Mexico because I didn’t want to wear tennis shoes and I wanted a stronger sole than regular flip flops. The strap started to come apart while on my trip and all I did was walk!! I had only worn these sandals a handful of times before my trip and I thought they were the best thing ever. Sucks that I had to find out on my trip that they were not! I don’t have the box or the receipt but I did have the credit card they were purchased with and I intend on returning them. They obviously can’t be worn for 10K steps or more in a day, it’s not like I was climbing mountains in them, I literally just walked the beach and streets of Mexico with them and they fell apart. Not to mention they started to hurt when they started falling apart. Huge bummer ... I've had chronic plantar fasciitis for the past 6 years and these are the best shoes I've tried yet! Wish they came in half sizing though! I also wish they did this sole with the look and straps of the hurricane sandals. I like the looks of those best but these have a softer heel cup and a little more arch support. Ps. I've had custom insoles as well as the good feet insoles and these are what my feet like best! I even wore them all winter wish socks!
I first ordered the Verra sandal in 2016 or 2017 and I've worn them every summer since. They've held up really well other than some fading on the strapping. When I saw the neutral acorn color, I knew it was time to upgrade. I originally ordered the same size of my current pair (6), but they were a quarter inch shorter than expected. I reordered them a half size up and they were perfect.Looking forward to wearing them for the next 8 years!
This is how addicted I am to my Verra sandals - this is my 5th pair. (I have them in 3 different colors, too.) I have 2 brand new pair just in case they stop making this style!! I still wear the first pair I ever bought, now 6 years old. We have a permanent camping site where we spend half our week. My Tevas have been with me on a 5k charity walk, many hikes, through mud, water, you name it and so look and feel great. I love the arch support, the fit, the comfort. They are uncomparable!
I've only worn these sandals three times and already the strap by my outside ankle is becoming separated from the insole, on both sandals. I guess a very poor glue job, poor construction. I wish they were sewn. I agree with the other reviewer who dislikes the indented lines on the insole, which collect sweat and dirt. I've had to clean out the indented lines after each of my (three) wears, with a metal tool, then I clean the insoles with alcohol pads. It's too bad these sandals are poorly made, because they're cute and comfortable. This was my first Teva purchase and now I can't trust the brand. In terms of sizing, they're sized small. I ordered a 6.5, my normal sandal size, and had to return them for a 7.
I also have the Tirra sandal and prefer the Verra over it for it's lower footbed profile and minimalist straps. It iis still chunkier than I would prefer but it feels solid and comfortable. The ring that holds the straps together on the Verra are made of metal, versus the Tirra's plastic rings. i purchased the Incense/Olive and I like the neutral tones, except for the grey footbed which would be better if it were brown or taupe. I got these in a size 7 and found them a bit too short so when I bought the Tirra I got those in a 7.5 and they still ran short. I wish the Verra were released in the same Netrual Multi color scheme as the Tirra. If that were to happen, I would purchase the Verra in a size 8 and pass mine along to someone with a smaller foot size than me.
I love my Verra Sandals. Unfortunately I love them so much I wear them all the time and have gotten paint etc all over them. Needing a pair that "looks nice" I decided to order another pair in same size. MAJOR size discrepancy here. I took pictures it was so unbelievable. Still a comfy shoe, but a royal pain that I now have to return and try again. Hope I get it right...always a size 6 or 7 if they run small. In this shoe I may need an 8!?
been wearing Tevas exclusively for 13 years and am now going to have to find another brand because somewhere around 2019, maybe even 2018, the footbed material changed, or maybe their stock sat in a hot warehouse for an extended period of time ? The multiple pairs of Teva Verras I bought in 2019 & 2022 did not have a soft cushiony foot bed. And it may or may not be related but not only do the the water channels on the foot bed pinch and cut into my foot, but also the foot bed creases from normal wear can be pinchy. Something I never had a problem before. It's not from abusive wear on my end as I have never worn my Verras in water and have always hand cleaned & air dried my tevas with just water. Having worn Tirras and Zirras for years without having to throw them ... I can only conclude that the quality of material of the new Verras is an issue. If this is possibly a result of recycled material then I am NOT a fan! Just incredibly sad to be bailing on the one shoe I could always count on.
