The Face Shop Rice Water Bright Light Cleansing Oil 150ml. This is my first introduction to an oil cleanser and I’m now wondering how I ever did without it! I’ve been using the Good Molecules cleanser (which I adore) but this is more of a gel and not an oil. The texture of this Rice Water Cleansing Oil is kind of dry and and not wet, if that makes sense? Once the oil is warmed up from the heat of your fingers and your skin it melts into your skin which in turn broke down my makeup including my waterproof mascara! I use this as a second cleanse after a cleansing balm as I find this works best, for me. If I’ve only worn SPF moisturizer that day I usually only have to use this oil cleanser and I’m done! It doesn’t bother my usually sensitive skin so a definite plus for us sensitive types. I love that it has Jojoba oil as this assists with sebum production 🤍 My pores are not clogged and are not more pronounced so this oil is exactly as the description says, a ‘Light’ cleansing oil. Looks and feels like water, this oil cleanser penetrates deeply into pores. Effectively removes excess sebum, dirt and pollutants and leftover sunscreen without stripping my combination (normal/oily) skin. While it's able to take off light coverage makeup, it doesn't do much for medium to full coverage unless you use a large amount. One thing I dislike is the weird scent. Not unpleasant to the point where I stop using this but it strongly reminds me of cheap bar soap. I wouldn't say it brightens my face but haven't experienced dullness or flaky skin.

Honestly, I had next to no expectations for this. The face shop is an OG brand but not one that I use a ton of products from, so I wasn’t expecting much. The texture is so light that it’s almost like water. It does have a scent, kind of floral but it’s actually kind of pleasant. But it’s so easy to spread on your face but what blew me away is that I applied a generous amount to my eyes while I working it onto the rest of my face. When I went back to very lightly work it over my eye makeup, I could feel all of my waterproof mascara slipping off. Like in no time at all, boom! Every stitch of makeup gone. I think I found my holy grail at least for now. And I have tried sooooo many cleansing oils and balms and nothing gave me whip lash like this one did.

I've been intrigued by the Korean double cleansing method for awhile and finally got this product and decided to give it a go. I guess I was worried it would exasperate my acne, but no no no! This is incredible! I think it actually helps with the acne. The difference in skin feel is unreal. It has THE greatest scent. I truly look forward to using this product and I think any skin type would benefit from it!

Amazing double cleanse

This stuff is amazing! I was using a more expensive brand and this works just as well if NOT better. I started double cleansing a few months back and wonder why I didn't start sooner. This is great for removing all makeup and jump starting your skin for a full regime. The pump style bottle is perfect, a large size and lasts forever. I use 1-2 pumps each morning and night before cleansing and the rest of my skincare routine. It works so well. The scent is light, but NON irrigating to the skin. It hasn't caused any breakouts etc. Dry hands and apply to dry face, massage into the skin for a minute or two than add some water and massage for another minute and rinse off. Than I follow with the rest of my skincare and my skin glows. It's never felt this good.

Does the job pretty well

Being an oily skin type, I had tried Plum cleansing balm and dermalogica oil cleanser. The plum one was too heavy for me and I felt it didn’t properly get removed despite washing it several times which lead to an always-oily face or a stripped off face and thus caused more acne. The dermalogica one was exponentially good however it is too expensive for its size. When I switched to this one, I was quite unsure about its application and results since my oily and acne prone skin doesn’t generally let me try new products. To my surprise, this oil cleanser is very light and gentle to my skin and gets easily removed while lathering it with some wet hands. It cleanses my face gently and removes any product or without excess oil, therefore thoroughly cleansing my skin. I pair it with La Rochay Posay Efficlar cleanser which again us gentle and suits my skin type. Overall effect is really nice and gentle. So I would recommend it to people with oily skin type. As you see, I have almost finished my bottle and am definitely going to order again. I use it everyday in my nighttime skincare, and so suggest to!

Excellent!

this is my favorite cleansing oil, nothing I have ever used compared to this. it's a pretty big bottle, so it lasts for a while. it helped with minimizing my texture, takes off waterproof makeup and sunscreen really well, and doesn't leave a weird film on the skin. it has a really strong scent, and it does make my vision a little blurry sometimes, but it's not too bad, and everything goes back to normal after a few minutes.. overall, I would say the quality of this is really good for the price, and you should definitely get it.

Lovely cleansing oil!

I enjoy removing my sunscreen/makeup at the end of the day with this oil cleanser! I’ve tried oil balms but I honestly like oil cleansers in pump bottles more! Very convenient, and with oil balms, I feel like sometimes whatever residue on my hands (makeup, spf, etc) ends up in the bottle so I get worried about accidentally contaminating it. This takes away my worries about accidentally contaminating anything because of the dispenser :) the oil is quite runny, very easy to work into my skin. Has quite a strong scent but I don’t mind it. My skin is dry-oily combo so I think it doesn’t mind fragrances. Sensitive skin people should probably do test patches if they’re interested. The scent is overwhelming

I usually use Pyunkang Yul's Deep Cleansing Oil, but I bought this to hold me over until it's available again. Compared to that, this cleansing oil is not it. The scent is overwhelming, the cleanser stings my eyes, and it's difficult to rinse off without your skin feeling sticky. I wouldn't buy it again for these reasons. It removes makeup ok, but the other things just make this product not to my liking.

great for getting eye lash glue off your eye lids

If you wear fake eye lashes-this is the cleanser for you. I don't know about you but I always have a hard time getting eye lash glue off my eye lids. I don't know why but those suckers just cling on to my skin and just won't let go. I've tried make up removers but I have sensitive skin so a lot of make up removers burns the skin about my eyes. This product seems to do the trick. It's gentle but effective. It's also great for cleaning eye lashes as well.
