This coat is fantastic! I've bought two now for my sons. One in blue and one in black. They love their new coats. Very warm but not too bulky for walking around campus to and from classes. Definitely recommend!

This was a gift to a friend who absolutely loved it. Great fitting and warm enough to survive a windy chicago winter. Can wear it as is or with a hoodie inside to layer up. The bands on the arm do a good job of not letting the air in. The color is perfect and goes well on almost every pant.

He usually runs hot, wears shorts even on rainy days and this jacket keeps him just warm enough. This will be a good option for trips to colder weather states - Oregon, Idaho, even Montana. He's 6', 170lbs. Tall and lean. He went with a L to give him extra room to move his arms and the option to wear a sweatshirt underneath if needed.

Good jacket for the winter months and fits well overall - no complaints there. However, the zippers were not manufactured well and often got stuck. Eventually, the left zipper broke. I took the jacket to the nearest TNF store to see if I could send it back for repair. At that time, I also had two very small holes on the jacket which led to some of the down material leaking out. For the price my wife paid and the fact that TNF is a supposedly reputable brand, I expected that they would repair the defects and send it back to me (considering I'd have to wait upto 2 months). I received a notification within a week or so stating that they would not repair anything. I only had the jacket for a few months so I really thought they would honor the warranty. Highly ... Love this coat. Very warm, comfortable and light. Great combination for a winter coat like this. This coat would be a 5 star if it had more than two pockets and a pull string for the hood. That said still an amazing jacket
So far my son is loving this. He likes the style and (green) colour. His mother likes it as it keeps him warm (although it's still only November, so we will see how the rest of the winter goes). The only flaw so far is the lack of an inside pocket, but outside pockets are zippered.
I love the jacket but didn’t love that it was shipped with the ink tag still on it and customer service would not do anything about it! I had to repurchase a new jacket and return the one they left the ink tag on, now waiting on my refund that I was told could the up to 3 weeks!!! It didn’t take three weeks to charge either of my purchases. Poor customer service..
The North Face has big design problems, almost all the North Face jackets have longer than average sleeves, so the arm parts wrinkles a lot, and it looks bad to wear. I have No problems with Puma, Helly Hansen, and Eddie Bauer etc. their sleeves fit me perfectly. Another major flaw about North Face is when the jacket is fully zipped up, the chest part is somewhat tight compare to other brands. I wanted to tell the North Face about these problems a long time ago. Please make your sleeves a bit shorter, and the chest part a bit wider. Thank you for listening to customers. I bought this jacket as a present for my husband. We live in Boston, so it gets pretty cold in the winter. So far my husband loves how warm the jacket is and how light it feels! I was worried it wasn't gonna be warm enough for our winters but it sure is! Loved the color too (gray)
Bought this Hydrenalite hoodie jacket to replace another north face coat that had no hood. It is awesome! Fits a bit snug but worth every penny and moves well when worn during activity. Wore it to walk dogs last weekend in 2 degree weather with a 29 mph wind and was not cold. I had on a T-shirt and sweatshirt underneath the coat. Considering the wind chill was well below zero I was extremely happy with my purchase. Montana gets very cold and has brutal wind chills. I think this coat will serve me well. It isn't real bulky either and can be used for everyday wear as well.
