Top notch functional down jacket. Incredibly warm, with deep pockets and sleeves meant for any and all snowsports - from the backcountry to the bitter cold sledding hill. I love the colors, and the outer fabric has just a little sheen to make it feel upscale. Note that it is long and narrow in the body if you're short waisted.

Love this jacket. Been using it as a layer for skiing and also for those chilly mornings/evenings backpacking in the Sierra. While it weights a bit more than my previous Arc'teryx Cerium LT and does not pack down as well, it is very warm and to this point been very durable. Time will tell overall, but so far so good.

Love Love Love this coat. I bought my first 800 summit series Northface coat about 15 years ago. It was time to invest in a new one. I love this coat because it is so light weight, you can move freely in it and it is not constricting. It does not get in the way. One of my favorite things about this coat is that it doesn't matter what the temperature is, it warms my body without overheating it. If it's 40° or 0°, it warms me perfectly every time.

I absolutely love the Summit Series jackets! My first NF jacket was a Summit Series and after buying this one I now have 4 of them. Love, love, love them. It's the only down jacket I buy from NF.
I've purchased couple dozen Northface products, i.e., waterproof shell pants, fleece pants, 5 thermoball jackets, etc. So, I was excited to get this red Breithorn jacket because my daughter made off with my red thermoball. The fit was a little off but more disappointing was actually seeing the feathers through the fabric. Tis' unacceptable for a down jacket at this price and I would expect it to be warmer at colder temps. I didn't think it was that warm which mimics some other reviews.

This jacket was PERFECT for my ski & snowboard trip to Utah and Seattle!! One day was sunny and another day was wet & snowy. This jacket as so comfortable in both conditions!!
I am OBSESSED with this jacket! Beyond the gorgeous color, it was the perfect piece of gear for our Antarctic expedition. The jacket is incredibly light which made for easy packing and quick/easy to pull in and out of the backpack as conditions changed. Although light weight, it was cozy and warm, and a perfect layering piece with a heavy parka and waterproof shell. I'm going to be sad to say goodbye to winter because I don't want to pack this jacket away just yet!
Under the proper lighting condition and sun, the feather shows through the ripstop fabric. I'm unsure if this is a cosmetic feature or defect of the jacket, but be aware...For a jacket at this price, I expected a solid color on the fabric without seeing the down feathers.
I wanted a warmer jacket, and this fits the bill. It's also a really pretty color. I'm 5'10", 140 lbs and the small fits perfectly. The sleeves and body length are long enough, which can be hard for me to find. Also liked that the front pockets are large and zip up (phone fits easily).
