The Ordinary Salicylic Acid 2% Masque 50 ml

I love this because to me. It’s a 3-in-1 pore cleaning exfoliant!! So there’s 2% salicylic acid to sink deep into your pores, dissolve the oils and clogs and dislodge and loosen any sebaceous filaments. It’s in a clay mask formula, so it helps to pull all of that gunk in your pores to the surface while the salicylic acid is working to dislodge it and dissolve it. And when you go to rinse it off, it has a physical exfoliant one it as well that helps to slough off any dead skin, dislodged gunk and really helps brighten your skin tone! Best mask for black heads and pore control!

This Salicylic Acid mask is amazing! I like to put it primarily in the T-zone area and do a mixed mask on other parts of the face with their AHA/BHA red colored peeling solution. However, it is great for the whole face as well. Make sure to leave it on dry, clean skin for about 10-15 minutes and rinse with lukewarm or warm water. Using this once a week has dramatically reduced and ended my blackheads and size of my nose and t-zone pores especially. I recommend this mask as a great addition to a well rounded skin care routine and it last a long time and is so affordable too. It checks all the boxes and is way better for you than peel off masks and nose strips!

I bought and used this today for the first time and it's already a favorite product. I've been wearing makeup more frequently and for longer hours, because of this my face has become very congested and with occasional painful cystic acne. I used this mask earlier today before putting on a full face of makeup that I then wore for 6 hours. My expectations were pretty low and assumed I'd need to use this mask several times over the next few weeks before seeing any significant results. Was I ever wrong! Tonight when I took off my makeup I was amazed by how much my skin had cleared up. My nose had been packed with blackheads, but is now almost entirely clear! My cheeks, chin, all of my face has vastly improved. Didn't really do anything

I've only used this product one time. I have horrible cystic and hormonal acne, so I was hoping for this to help. I used it as instructed, the exact time on the box, washed it off, and boom. No difference. Yes I am aware that I will not immediately achieve clear skin after using this, but a day or two later, my skin was the exact same. The texture was gross too, Masks like this are not good for your skin. Stop buying harsh face masks. Just get a treatment or serum or something. All this will do for you is absolutely nothing.

Good Product

I got this for Christmas and I have been using it for about a month and a half now. I use it about once a week and it has definitely improved the appearance of my clogged pores around the nose area. I usually extract the pores first then use it. I find that I don’t have to extract as often and there is significantly less oil/ clogged up gunk when I do. I am happy this mask has worked so well, this is the key to less clogged pores. My only complaint is barely any product comes out when you squeeze the bottle. I have to push so hard to get just a little out. Other than that, I am impressed.

My sebum-busting holy grail

I've been using this product for 2 years, sometimes 3x a week, sometimes 1x a month depending on where my skin's at and it's the only product that makes a difference for my sebum problem. I produce excess sebum, get a little greasy, and often have bumps around my mouth and chin and some hormonal acne. Sometimes the sebum bumps are hard for me to deal with because they just sit in my face until I pick them out or maybe after months they finally dissipate. As a picker trying to break the habit this mask helps me to reduce the sebum, prevent it from building up, and as an emergency mask to immediately dial back the redness and damage after a pick session. Bought this in June 2022, so been using it for a while now regularly once a week. I feel that face masks are more of a weekend thing, it allows the product to work and have its effect on skin throughout the week.Anyway, have not felt much of a difference in regard to pore size, blackhead reduction, or general texture irregularities. Maybe if I had not been using it my skin issues would worsen but no improvement felt either. Will continue using until I finish the product, does not seem to hurt. One thing is certain, I've had better and faster results with supermarket-bought clay facial masks for 1/4 of this price.The product has a funky smell, kind of sulfuric and mud, so hope you don't mind that. I use it on any breakouts I get on my chest from working out and it puts those zits to rest real quick too.But with great power comes great responsibility. Follow the directions and play by the rules and you'll be fine, but go past 10 minutes, push through any burning feeling if it comes up, get this stuff too close to your eyes or rub your eyes while you're rinsing it off will all lead to less than positive outcomes. I learned that the hard way when I woke up with semi-swollen eyes after aggressively rubbing my eyes while rinsing this off. I find it best to wipe it off with a damp wash cloth until it's mostly gone, then follow up with a quick splash just to make sure I've gotten everything off.Play by the rules and this mask will more than pay for itself.

Refreshing and effective

The best THREE STEPS regime!

I've read reviews about this mask not working on others because it didn't "work" the first or second time. Which I think is quite fair yet also ridiculous as the same time. This is one the best and most affordable effective mask I've ever used. The first time I used it, i thought my face actually feels super clean. The second time, the same. So I gradually started using it roughly 2 times a week. There are noticeable changes and improvements to my skin. It's not on cleaner but my face is clearer, my little scarred pimples are less noticeable (or gone!), my blackheads are less visible or gone (I used to use nose strips A LOT because they come out so oftenand I get the satisfaction when I strip them out!).I have combination skin, so in the beginning I was layering ... MoreI've read reviews about this mask not working on others because it didn't "work" the first or second time. WRONG. DO NOT DO THAT. I learnt that you have to be patient with ALL actives especially each that contains acid. You'll end up irritating your skin and wasting the products! I use the Ordinary Squalane Cleanser rinse it lukewarm water and pat dry my skin and allow to dry naturally for 1 minute. I then apply the mask starting my from T-zone, forehead down to my nose, then my chin down to the top of my neck. Then I work my way into the cheeks and connect the mask from around where I started until my whole face is covered. It takes me about 2 minute to apply, I take my time! I leave it on for about 7 mins until it's nice and dry and I can't move my face. I get a face towel, soak it in WARM water and lightly wring it out. I then place it from under my eyes and work my way down to my neck. I let the warm towel absorb the mask, no harsh rubbing! And then i do the same from from my forehead to the the rest of T-zone, gently until all the mask is gone. I rinse the cloth with warm water again and wring in out and left the cloth on my face for a few seconds. And lastly, I rinse the cloth again, this time with COLD water to cool faceand close my pores. I finish this up with Ordinary Moisturiser. So simple!
