Something seems off with this. It's affecting my pigmentation? I'm a person of color with copper-colored skin. I can't tell for sure if it's causing hypo- or hyperpigmentation, perhaps both. I've noticed textural irregularities on both my face and my arm where I used this product. With my face I initially chalked it up to using this product on top of others, but with my arm I just used the product, by itself, on a patch of skin and it visually made *surrounding area* darker? I almost want to say it made the area where it was applied lighter, but I don't know i that makes any sense.I've used salicylic acid at concentrations of 14%. With this product I'm not even experiencing much dryness at all, just pigmentation issues. This stuff is 7x weaker than the stuff I used to use, and it seems to be causing problems for me. I'm low-key wondering if this stuff is formulated properly at all? It's got me just a little bit concerned, no exaggeration. Again, this didn't just affect my face but also my arm. I'm not ruling out user error, I'm just saying I've used salicylic acid for years and never experienced anything worse than dryness.For now, I put it on the shelf in favor of nightly use of glycolic acid, alpha arbutin, and niacinamide, which don't seem to be causing any issues.

First of all I have a very much oily but combination Acne prone skin which turns dry in winter. And those Acne are the stubborn one who leaves marks once they are gone to remember them like forever.. So I'm starting my journey with 10% Niacinamide+ 1%zinc serum and also with 2% salicylic acid both from The Ordinary. And I was using 0.1% retinoid (Adapelene) gel (twice a week) 2.5% Benzoyl peroxide gel and Erytop-N ( clindamicine and nicotinamide) gel for more than 2 months.. And also a sunscreen spf 50 paaa+ for daytime. But for last two weeks I stopped using benzoyl peroxide as I felt it was causing more breakouts. You have to be really patient with retinoids.. So, henceforth I'll be using Retinoid ( twice- thrice a week), salicylic acid as exfoliator ( twice a week), and niacinamide for hyper pigmentation on alternative days. I won't combine retinoid with any other thing. Hope to see good results. Will update this review after 3-4 week use. As product description it is transparent, the package is good, and the serum is not runny, turns foamy if you apply in a circular motion but subsides easily if applied in a one way motion (shown in picture).
