The Outset Nourishing Squalane Daily Moisturizer 1.7 oz / 50 ml

This is the rare moisturizer that I suspect will work for almost all skin types. The packaging on this one is perfect: a glass bottle with a pump. I find that most people prefer this system over jars, and I will always applaud brands who choose to package in our much more recyclable glass packaging. It does not contain dyes nor overdone ingredients (such as hyaluronic acid). It does contain coconut oil, but I will forever be out here saying, "that ingredient actually works on my acne prone skin" - so YMMV.As for what it does contain: squalane, oils including avocado and sunflower, and antioxidant-rich ingredients. Amazing!

I’ve used the daily essentials for a month, day and night. This is the best moisturiser i’ve had. My skin reacts well to it, it doesn’t leave my pores clogged and it’s super lightweight. It absorbs nicely and doesn’t feel oily. It is probably not the best for hot days, however i live in england so on the off chance there is a hot day, which is next to never, i would probably apply less on my face. A little goes a long way and is good for acne! It’s super healing to the skin; these products make me feel so much more positive towards my skincare routine.

Fabulous moisturizer!

I had been wanting to try the outset for a while after reading about its clean ingredients. I decided to start with the moisturizer because I didn’t like the one I was currently using. I am loving this nourishing moisturizer! One of my favorite things about it is how well it sits underneath my tinted moisturizer. I have tried several different moisturizers and when I applied the tinted moisturizer over it I did not get an even application. The daily moisturizer sinks into my skin beautifully. I give it about a minute and then apply the tinted moisturizer on top for a really beautiful finish. My skin feels well moisturized and looks great. I also have very sensitive skin and the outset moisturizer has helped the redness.

ust two pumps are sufficient, and it boasts a long-lasting effect. In just three days, my severely dry skin has undergone a remarkable transformation, with the roughness completely gone when I touch my face. It's lightweight and absorbs rapidly, leaving my skin looking beautiful once more. I initially purchased only the cleanser and this product, but now I'm eagerly anticipating trying out the rest of their offerings. I have a deep affection for these products and the company behind them. Complimentary from theoutset.

Honestly torn

So I first bought the travels kit from the outset and was smitten. So much that I bought the bigguns’. It has no smell and seems to be made for us sensitive skin people. Great. If you want a glow, you’re going to get it with this. However, even though I’d say I am a dry person, it creates a lot of forehead oil. I think this happens more when I use the serum but even so. The oil I could cope with, by adding powder throughout the day. But then I noticed after a few weeks I was getting small whiteheads in odd places. I am very acne prone but I am prone to big cysts. Otherwise my skin is clear. These were like new white under skin bumps that I’ve never had before. Not ideal. So I don’t think I’ll buy this again, especially not for the price. Back to the drawing board it is.

Hydrating without irritation

Product was gifted by Outset in exchange for my honest review. The Outset Nourishing Squalene Daily Moisturizer has become part of my daily skincare routine. There are some great ingredients in this product, including olive derived squalene which restores skin’s natural barrier to protect against free radicals and the environment This moisturizer is lightweight and thin but feels hydrating. It has a silky texture that feels so good. After applying, my face feels soft and moisturized. Squalene can sometimes irritate my skin but this formula is gentle enough that I’ve been using it daily without irritation.

Meets all of my ridiculous needs

This moisturizer is not my silver bullet, but it gets pretty dang close.First up, the oiliness. This moisturizer is so light weight that it’s able to moisturize my skin without clogging my pores. When I use just the Outset daily regime, I admittedly do not get enough hydration. However, I use this moisturizer as my second to last step, on top of 3 different serums (including the Outset collagen serum), before sunscreen. With the serums, it packs just enough hydration to keep my skin balanced.Given the circumstances of my skin, it does its job exceedingly well; in fact, better than any other moisturizer I’ve ever used. The fact that it’s able to work 100% with my oil production and let’s say 75% with my dry skin issues is literally a miracle to me.I will keep my cabinets stocked with this moisturizer till kingdom come.Thank you so much to the Outset team. Pampering but a little residue!

This is brilliant if you want what they say on the tin. It's nourishing with a pampering sensation on the skin, it's not too heavy so great for all skin types but I will just say my oiler skin does find this a little too much for really hot days in only one way. It didn't leave me clogged but I did find when I touched my face there was a little residue and didn't quite soak in all the way so just be wary of that for the Summer my more oily and combo team! This really has sensitive skin in mind but also those who are getting their actives in their routine from serums and wash-off treatments, this is great to really just soothe and moisturise the skin leaving a healthy, happy and plump skin that you can easily introduce into any routine!

The Best!

I just love everything about this brand. I have combination skin that is acne prone and sensitive. These products have been the best for my skin. No issues with sensitivity at all. I’m also getting to where I don’t want any scent or fragrance (even EO’s) in my skincare products at all. My only wish is that The Outset would formulate an essence/toner to prep my skin for serum and moisturizer. This moisturizer is silky, creamy, and absorbs well without greasiness. It’s lightweight and perfect for use in the morning. I use their night cream before. You can’t go wrong with any of the products tbh.
