It is large enough to use if reading the story to children and showing them the splendid artwork.I cannot believe how inexpensive it was, and the cost included the postage. The wonderful stories of Rat and Mole and friends. Perfectly and abundantly illustrated by Robert Ingpen. My son is looking forward to reading this to his own sons. They will be the fourth generation to be swept away to this dream world, unhindered by the modern literary criticism that threatens to destroy the innocence of this story.

A lovely little hardback version of the classic Wind in the Willows childrens story by Kenneth Grahame with black and white illustrations by EH Shepard. A gorgeous size of book to hold and read the enduring story of the adventures of Mole, Ratty, Badger and Toad to little ones.
Adorable set of nine childrens books in a box. Excellent condition. They dont look like theyve ever been read. Adorable pictures. I could not be more pleased
Wonderful book that is beautifully bound! Unfortunately, the dark green cover bleed onto another light pink book I ordered, not terribly though. The end of the spine was slightly dented which seems to be an overall problem for the collection, but it doesn't take away from the beauty of the book(s).
One of my all time favourites. With 23 grandkids Booktopia is one of my first stops for Christmas and birthday presents! Wind in the Willows is really one of the classics that every kid should read. Highly recommend it!
I first read this book at High School when i was 14 yrs and loved it. Years went by and decided to read it again when in my 60's and enjoyed it even more, . And when i was faced with a needed surgical operation last year at 78 yrs, that came with great risk, i decided i would buy myself a present, and bought myself my own copy! The non abridged, illustrated edition is just the best., Well written, easily allowing you to be part of the 'going-on's'. Imagining it all so clearly, chuckling and laughing to myself as the story unfolded. The many illustrations throughout the book are lovely and the hard cover will keep it safe for years to come.
This book was listed as "Good" condition with minimal tears and damage. The cover of the book is torn, bent, crumbling extremely worn and in very poor condition! I understand that this is a used book; however, the condition should be listed as poor condition or an accurate description should be included, so I have the corresponding expectations. This is a gift and VERY disappointing! I purchase used and collectable books regularly and typically have no complaints. I do NOT recommend this dealer.

The Wind in The Willows by Kenneth Grahame
Kenneth Grahame (1859-1932) was born in Edinburgh, but grew up with relatives in Berkshire where he developed his love for the countryside surrounding the upper parts of the River Thames. He was educated at St Edward's in Oxford, but instead of going on to Oxford University he joined the Bank of England, where he rose to become Secretary. He wrote several books including The Golden Age and Dream Days which includes the short story 'The Reluctant Dragon' (later made into a Disney movie). Kenneth Grahame developed the character of Toad in The Wind in the Willows to amuse his young son, Alistair. It was published in 1908 and still remains a best-loved children's classic.
