Needed to install the Bluetooth app and turn Bluetooth on (both are easy steps). Have to have a clear path to the sensor for Bluetooth to work. I put one in my vehicle and can check readings from my front door before leaving house. Good Experience - replacing an old ThermPro that LCD segments stopped working (it did not have the BT feature)

This product has a large easy to read display, and seems to be very accurate. I use it in my office, and it is helpful because I do not have to go across the house to the thermostat to find out what the temperature is. The fact that the single necessary was included was a nice bonus.
This is the neatest gadget. I love that it has a magnet attached so you can put it on your refrigerator and keep your countertops clean. I haven't read the manuel to figure out the point of bluetooth, but I imagine it is to see temperature from away from the house. It does come with a battery and no screws needed to insert it. If you don't have a magnetic refrigerator, this gadget can stand upright.

I put this unit high up in the attic. When it is 101 outside, it reaches 130 in the attic. I installed some fans in the eaves and can monitor the attic temperature, judging when to turn the fans on or off. Accurate, easy to use, the app is quick and responsive
