Needed to install the Bluetooth app and turn Bluetooth on (both are easy steps). Have to have a clear path to the sensor for Bluetooth to work. I put one in my vehicle and can check readings from my front door before leaving house. Good Experience - replacing an old ThermPro that LCD segments stopped working (it did not have the BT feature)

This indoor digital thermometer is highly accurate and easy to read. We use it as an adjunct temperature gauge on our front porch, which is enclosed, but not heated or cooled. Handy. Bluetooth function also works well.
