Thorne D-1,000 has been an excellent supplement for maintaining my vitamin D levels, especially during times when I’m not getting enough sun exposure. The 1,000 IU dosage is ideal for daily use and aligns well with my needs for supporting bone and immune health. I appreciate that Thorne is known for its high-quality, pure ingredients, ensuring I’m getting a reliable product. Overall, it’s a trusted, effective choice for keeping my vitamin D levels in check and supporting my overall well-being.

Started to take Vitamin D After I was diagnosed with asthma few months after contracting covid. No obvious effect but should be well with other supplements I’m taking. Thorne brad is high quality. Trusted this brand for years but a bit pricey. Think you get what you pay for.

Small pills, easy to swallow
5 December 2023

These Thorne pills are very small and slim; super easy to swallow. The only disadvantage is that Thorne's Vit D3 capsules are all the same size despite their strength: D-1,000 vs D-5,000 vs D-10,000. Easy to confuse if you have different family members taking different doses of the pill.

[Rewarded Review] Great Vitamin D Supplement.
12 December 2022

During my yearly physical a few months ago, my doctor informed me that my vitamin D was low. I was prescribed a Vitamin D pill to take once a week for a month and then I was to get my own over the counter Vitamin D supplement of my choice. I was fortunate to come across the Thorne Vitamin D supplements. I only have good things to say about these. They are easy to take and I have noticed that I do feel better. I recommend giving these a try if you are looking for a Vitamin D supplement.

[Rewarded Review] Quality Supplement

I received these products for free from the Hey, Bullseyeâ„¢ sampling program in exchange for my honest review.I am very pleased with the Thorne product line in general. I had the opportunity to try the D supplement, which was great, because I am severely Vitamin D deficient. I have been prescribed high doses of weekly Vitamin D by my doctor. This is a lower dosage, that I can take more frequently. I prefer this method to mega-doses once a week.I would recommend talking to your doctor about using Thorne as a supplement if you have a Vitamin D deficiency.

nice supplement

After wintertime, in early spring, my vitamin d levels end up being low, even though I start autumn with a fairly decent level of D. I stock up in this supplement, because I have used it in the past and it succeeded in raising my vitamin d levels, per the blood lab test results. I feel better when I take it, my aches and pains subdue, which is another indicator that it is efficient. I prefer a low dosage daily, rather a higher dose a couple times a week, but that's a matter of preferance. The capsules are small sized , no taste at all. I would recommend it

I’ve been using this 1000 IU vitamin D supplement for a few months now, and I’m very pleased with the results. It’s easy to take, and I’ve noticed a significant improvement in my overall energy levels and mood. The capsules are small and easy to swallow, and there’s no aftertaste. Highly recommend for anyone looking to boost their vitamin D intake, especially during the winter months!

Vitamin D protects a number of important functions in the body. In addition to supporting healthy bones and muscles, it supports cardiovascular health and immune function. Although direct sunlight provides natural vitamin D, many individuals of all ages, especially the elderly, do not get enough vitamin D from sunlight and their diet. Vitamin D supplementation can be of great benefit in these situations. However, the powders used in many pre-mixed vitamin D dilutions frequently contain potentially detrimental ingredients such as lactose, as well as preservatives such as BHT, BHA, sodium benzoate, and sorbic acid. Thorne’s vitamin D is formulated for individuals who are sensitive to those ingredients. In the United States, the current recommended daily intake of 800 IUs vitamin D is based on the minimum amount to protect against bone disease. However, an upward revision of this guideline is now being considered in light of current research, especially new research regarding immune function. This research suggests serum vitamin D levels should be in the range of 32-80 ng/mL 25-hydroxyvitamin D.? The amount of vitamin D needed to achieve minimum vitamin D sufficiency – generally recognized to be a blood level of 32 ng/mL of 25-hydroxyvitamin D – depends on many factors and varies from individual to individual. Thus, the requirement for vitamin D supplementation should be individualized. Either D-1,000 or D-5,000 maybe be ideal to maintain an optimal level of vitamin D in healthy individuals.
