Thorne Research - Iron Bisglycinate - 60 Capsules

My doctor asked me to check my ferritin level, because I was feeling tired constantly and sleepy. I had pain in my muscles. And yes he was right, my ferritin level was quite low. So I trust only Thorne, cause their products have always helped me. And now I am taking Ferritin and can definitely see the difference. Highly recommend this brand! Worth every penny. Doctors consultation is required before taking any medicine!

An iron supplement I don’t mind taking

I really like this iron supplement a lot and plan to keep purchasing it. Unlike others, it doesn’t taste like a mouthful of pennies, which is a huge plus. This is completely anecdotal, and I’m not a doctor, but this fall I was experiencing lightheadedness. I read that it could be an iron deficiency, which makes sense as I have been turned away the last few times I tried to give blood for low hemoglobin. I decided to try this supplement and it has helped so much. No more spells, and the pills are easy to take— small enough that I can take them without water and they don’t have that horrible metallic taste that other brands have. This was my first time trying any products from this brand and I’m quite impressed!

ne of the reasons I chose this particular brand is because it uses a chelate which is more highly absorbable by the body than cheaper carbonates, oxides, sulfates and phosphates and it doesn't have a bunch of crap additives in it. Additionally, the pills are TINY and super easy to swallow! I use some other Thorne supplements as well and really like them. That being said, not ALL of Thorne's stuff is the best of the best, but when it comes to my iron levels, this has worked wonders and I can definitely recommend! no symptom taking this supplement. Size is small and easy to swallow.

I have been struggling with low iron for awhile now. I have tried so many iron products and they didn’t work. Most would make my nauseous and give me bad stomach problems. Some one told about Thorne iron supplements. It did not upset my stomach or get me nauseous. It was easy to swallow. So far I have been feeling so much better and I have energy. I highly recommend this iron pill.

It works!

I'm a big user of vitamins and can kind of tell if they're doing something or having an effect. I began to have bruising in places I hadn't bumped or banged up. I did a blood test that revealed while not deficient, I was on the lower side of normal in Iron! I tried this Iron for a little over a month and noticed bruises healed quickly and weren't happening for no reason anymore! I did stop the supplement once I got the desired effect and within a month the bruising started to happen again. I'm super bummed I have to keep taking a supplement due to price, but happy that I know what to do and that it does work. I need to retest and see my levels, but I'm assuming they did rise somewhat just not enough. Go for it!

Life changing!

My iron level was so low I had 16 missed calls from my GP to come back in for another test as they thought the results were a mistake (it wasn’t!) and I have been temporarily suspended from being allowed donate blood for a year. Regular supplements just don’t agree with me and made me extremely ill. I mean violently ill.I did my research and found Thorne’s iron bisglycinate so gave it a go.Just under a month later my energy levels are through the roof! I feel like crying with happiness. One small iron pill in a well-absorbed form

I actually don't mind taking these. It's a nice small size, you only have to take one, and it hasn't stopped me up or anything like that. I appreciate that this is just one simple pill in an easily-absorbed form to take along with the multivitamins that almost always don't have iron in them, which can get very annoying for us low-iron people. I'm always struggling to get enough iron so this definitely helps me feel better and stronger.

The only thing that worked

I had iron deficiency and low hemoglobin levels during my pregnancy and had been taking several iron supplements but nothing worked until I tried this in my last trimester! Raised my levels in two weeks. Didn’t experience any stomach symptoms or bad after taste, but I did have constipation, although I can’t say whether it was from the pregnancy or this because I had this issue on and off through out my pregnancy. I took one pill everyday.
